The video of a man dying via oral N ingestion was quite shocking to me given the acute panic he experienced asking for a cup of water before nodding off and snoring loudly. I'd like to see what insert gas asphyxia looks like in real life.

That N death doesn't seem like a good time, though I guess every case is different and there is nothing better anyway.
Off-topic, but what is that snoring…? Agonal breathing? (FYI, haven't seen the video and do not intend to)

i mean, N is pretty much the gold standard- IGA can also be one of the better options, but really has to be done 'right' aka eliminate co2 buildup, no leaks, what gas & how fast unconscious. n supposedly takes like shit, but you're so out of it so fast, and +ae should be the only issue. heavy breathing/muscle spasms can happen as death occurs, as i understand that happens while unconscious

Can I get a link to this video? Having not seen it I wonder if the man was not experiencing discomfort when he panicked but was just feeling it kicking in and knew that death was right around the corner. I can see where even when you want to die that it would be startling having the time to realise you have succeeded and are seconds away from going out.

I'm interested in the video also. It's not my method but I am curious to see.

Yeah. I've heard so much about how peaceful N is I was surprised to read this. I had kind of thought it was so sedating that people couldn't panick. It could also be that since he is described as panicking and asking for water and then proceeds to snore loudly that his throat may have been collapsing as the barbiturates took effect and made the muscles relaxed like in obstructive sleep apnea. Probably wouldn't happen to everyone if this were the case.

I have seen this video and he is not panicking. In fact overall it's extremely peaceful. Kind of tired someone new coming along and bringing this video up every so often. He is probably asking for water because of the taste since it clings to the back of the throat. If you think he's panicking in that video then your threshold for panic is quite low. IF he did experience any panic, which I doubt he did, it would've been for an extremely short amount of time since he then goes unconscious.

I'm also tired of the 'snoring' or whatever you want to call it being touted as some obvious example of extreme suffering when it's clearly not. My grandfather made these sounds all through the night when he slept because of sleep apnea. Didn't bother him. He didn't even remember it when he woke up.

Seriously, *person takes drug that is known to cause one of the most peaceful deaths* *person seems in some mild discomfort for a minute before passing the f out*

Sorry if I'm being a bit caustic to your comment/post but we really don't need this exaggeration and scaremongering of a perfectly peaceful method. Though I guess it doesn't even matter now since it's not like many people here have N anyway.

This was a thoughtful write up. I didn't even think about the taste as a factor you're probably right. Regardless the video made me want to use firearms if I can't get access to IV N, the anticipation of when the N is already swallowed is what I'm scared of. Mind can create a lot of suffering even if it's not physically happening. One time I became unable to catch my breath for days, I experienced air hunger the entire time, upon going to the hospital they couldn't find a single thing wrong with me. They did arterial blood oxygen, scans, blood work etc and it was all in my head. I can't imagine what my mind would do when I've already swallowed my poison and I'm waiting for it to take effect.
