i've heard of a few tricks, like using a straw so the SN doesn't even touch the tongue, but i was also thinking
if there's any tricks to avoid the bad taste going down your throat.
because you also, to some degree, taste with your throat, i would assume.
like, if a bad or toxic food touches your throat, i'm pretty sure your throat can "taste it" so to speak...

so what if you gargle with for example mouth wash? would that help?
there's just always the paranoia that some of the chemicals in the mouth wash might interfere with the SN...
so idk man... it's hard figuring all this stuff out

I bought throat numbing spray to spray on my tongue and in throat. I've tested it and the numbing effect is really strong. I'll also have a candy afterwards.

I don't think u should think too much about mouth was interacting with the chemicals. I don't think anyone should think too much about it. If u want a sip of coke to rinse the taste, go for it.

Maybe it would help to tell yourself that plenty of other people have already managed to do it (drink SN). It's not like you're breaking new ground here.

True but for people with sensory issues like autism such as myself it's a lot more likely to vomit from the taste so it's more to make it as comfortable as possible.

Not diminishing your situation at all, but everyone vomits from it, using an AE, or not. Vomiting is a given. And yes, I get the distinction between vomiting from the taste vs vomiting caused by the body expelling it from the stomach. I don't know that the OP has autism, or if that is their reason for concern about the taste causing vomiting. My other response was really just a generalized tactic that may help.
