Any significance to the date you plan to CTB?

Is there any significance behind the day's you wish to CTB? Has anyone put any thought into this?

I.e. In my opinion it would be cool to die on a mathematically or astrologically significant date for example.

Unfortunately not that many cool days in this category left in 2022...

I was going to ctb on the one year anniversary of my girlfriends suicide but i dont know if i can hold out that long. Every day gets worse

I plan to do it by the end of the year, so New Year's Eve seems like a pretty good idea.

I really wish that I died last year when I was 19, I want to die soon before my next birthday. I don't want to be any older when I ctb. I deserve to at least die tragically young damn it

Nothing like that. I'm just gonna CTB once I'm old and unfixable. I'm pro choice but believe people should put significant effort into recovery first

Not really. Once life becomes sufficiently unbearable I'll have a day or two dedicated to enjoying myself and then I'll CTB on the next day.

In my case I see it as being best to ctb when the time feels right rather than trying to stick to a specific date set in advance. But I've always liked the sound of ctb on my birthday as it would make sense for me to end my existence on the day in which all the suffering started. I hate what birthdays represent, which is celebrating the fact that someone has existed for another year. In my case I never wanted anything to do with this horrific world and there is nothing worth celebrating in this life. Suffering shouldn't be glorified in any way.

Always a particularly lonely day to be alone

Not sure if you have or want to be buried, but that would look pretty fine and dandy on a tombstone.

I like the idea of some passerby walking through a cemetery and seeing that in a passing glance and wondering the story there.

I also have difficulties with choosing a date. I like the thought of choosing a particular one on the other hand, I am still in the process of defining my method etc. And then there comes the part of 'I am ready now'. At this moment I plan with early spring next year

I don't have a specific date in mind, but probably after new years and away from any other holidays/events so I don't ruin it for my friends and family. Hopefully before my next birthday.

I thought about sometime after my daughter goes to college. Maybe when she graduates. I'm counting down the good days that have left before my neurological condition puts me in a wheelchair.

I figure my body will be pretty shot before then so I need to make sure I'm still physically able to do the deed.
