Speaking as a man who is 5'6", being less than 6' is fucking torture. The fact that there is no surgery that can make me 6' makes me want to ctb even more. Society looks down, both literally and figuratively, on guys like us all the time. Then, they have the audacity to blame the insecurities we go through on us, mockingly stating we have a Napeoleon complex and that we should be avoided because of that. Well, we wouldn't have a "Napeoleon complex" if we weren't made to feel lesser than in the first place.
This is just an anecdote but one of the shortest guys in my grade has objectively one of the hottest girls as his long term girlfriend. It is about height - yes. But, I don't mean to placate anyone or anything, if someone doesn't date you for their height their a) a dick and b) there are many girls out there who would.

I am not short. Pretty average height but i recognize that it is more advantageous to be on the tall end of height in terms of many things. I find taller men as way more attractive also but people have different preferences and some people not care about height or prefer shorter men

Yeah, I totally get that. I don't really think there are women who prefer shorter men though.
I never understood why people were so obsessed with their height. Literally see average/below average height guys with attractive women all the time lol. IMO height is just an excuse unless you're really short. I would rather be shorter and attractive than ugly and my height (which I am)

I'm good looking and short. My height has not been an issue at all on Tinder or when I meet women at the gym.

Yeah, I used tinder and had to superlike to get any attention. I stare at girls at the gym tbh and they don't like it I think.
No they don't. People don't like being stared at in general, a glimpse here and there is ok but staring is off limits.

But height is relative? I have a friend who's under 5ft so to her any guy is tall and she doesn't really like constantly having to look up to the heavens. Normal every day women really don't care about height tbh. I think this is just social media and media in general brainwashing us.

I feel your pain but as someone who's 6 ft tall and still a dateless virgin at 27, I hope I can serve as an example that height alone won't solve everything. I won't deny it's a privilege, but I still managed to squander my genetically given gift and am still ugly both outside and on the inside. Height is one of the few physical traits that truly can't be changed easily but it just means there's going to have to be changes made elsewhere. Hope that helps and that I'm not coming off too demanding. Again, although I'm not short myself, I'm still a fat, ugly, and awkward loser so trust me when I say fixing height alone just isn't enough.

I'm a girl and I date short guys. I even dated a guy who was under 5 ft tall once. That didn't work out for other reasons.

I wouldn't mind dating a short guy, I'm 5'2'' so men are usually taller then me.
I think the real issue is that society in general paints this unrealistic picture of what a picturesque man should look like: TALL, dark(whatever that means, tan?) and handsome. I'm 5'2 and always felt insecure about that because we are told that being short is bad just like any other number of things. Not to say women don't like short men, but they don't like short men who are insecure about it and that's the hardest part cause you always feel like you're never good enough especially when people have other options other than you. Heightism is a real thing even if most people don't want to admit it. And let's be for real most people would choose a taller person over a shorter person because that's generally seen as beneficial especially for protection or any other number of reasons.

The biggest issues for me is how hard it is to find clothes that fit properly. Most clothing manufactures in the US seems to think no males under like 5'6 exist. I've had some more luck with Asian stores online, but it's an inconvenience not to be able to try stuff on.
I am the kind of short where people always feel the need to point it out "you're really short" like thanks, I never noticed or "I though you were taller" (that one is funny to me.)
This is one of those things where it's other people that have a problem with it, not myself.
I see men much taller than me calling themselves short all the time, they would not enjoy being my height. I've seen as high as 5'10 being considered short which is strange to me. Most people on earth aren't even that tall.
It is a matter of perspective, with heights varying based on the location and country. Society creates these unrealistic expectations and thrives off creating insecurities in people. As well as people buying to that and creating this sentiment of "if you aren't a 600 foot Chad, you're better off dead," which I find to be very out of touch with reality. I acknowledge that it is not something that you can simply just "get over" either. I personally have never put much stock into what other people think, especially when it comes to superficial biases like this. There are many people who aren't concerned over it when it comes to romance either. Even if you you were not short, there could be dozens of others things about you someone might not be interested in you because of.

I'm female, but I just want to throw it out there that I prefer short men (and I'm sure that I'm not the only one).
Two words for you ma man, BABY HULK, check out his inst@gram, dude is a hell of an inspiration for all the shorties all there, he's 5'0" (152cm) and fighting guys much taller than him. My tip, not only for short guys, but for all people who is depressed is to learn martial arts (preferably at an mma gym)
Martial arts greatly increase your health, testosterone, self esteem and confidence in yourself, i beg of you to give it a try, they can give you an experimental class, it's very fun too to do sparring with your training partners, on contrary to just lift weights that is good but also boring asf. You also will probably make friends and have partners to help your evolution in these beautiful and honorable arts. You may even break some stereotypes you may have about the fight world and people.
And give especial preference to wrestling and jiu-jitsu, cus if you are really short, most of your opponents will have a reach advantage over you, to break that advantage, you use the wrestling to put them on the ground and dominate them with ground and pound. When you have this, you will feel powerful, you will have an actual power,so real that in some countries, martial artists are considered cold/white weapons themselves, so if you spank a ''normal civilian'' your sentece may be aggravated. So by having this knowledge and skills, no shortie joke or mockery will ever affect you, you shall not be shaken, you may even smile and make them yourself, cus you know something that they don't, that you're a weapon yourself.
There are no reason to put youself down for being short, just because most women like tall guys, you can nullify the ''taller effect'' with attitude, imposition/posture of respect, it's all about attitude, look at Conor Mcgregor, dude has 5'8" (172.72cm) and acts like he's the king of the world, even before he was rich and famous, it was because he had confidence due to his fighting skills. Alexander Volkanovski 5'6" (167.64 cm) is one of the most dominant featherweight in the UFC history, together with Demetrious Johnson – 5'3'' (160 cm) and Henry Cejudo – 5'4'' (163 cm) who are other beasts. Floyd Mayweather 5''8 (173 cm) is one of the greatest boxers of all time. Napoleon was 5'6" (168cm) and was one of the greatest military commanders of all time.
I am 175cm and my friend is 190cm and we spar and grapple and goes toe to toe, so yeah, confidence in your skill is everything, but first you gotta build it. Don't ever underestimate yourself.
