Yes, but it's lessening now. It suddenly started a while back after I recovered from an ear infection and it was very bad at that time, I could feel my pulse inside of my ear and that only stopped until quite recently. I'm glad the tinnitus is going away now, somehow, I wish it was the same for everyone else. I lucked out.

Yes i had an ear infection and took Cipro. I've had a couple of times when it was unbearable.
Thankfully it died back down to a slight hiss. I don't usually think about it.

I'm really scared to take aspirin or any other antibiotics, many drugs can cause it or even hearing loss.

For as long as I can remember. It used to be very bad, but now it varies wildly in intensity, most often it's bearable.

When it gets especially bad, I try to do either of two things.

The first being using this website, sometimes after using it, I find it to be a bit worse, though the temporary relief is mostly worth it.

The second being a set of instructions I found a while back. "Put your palms on your ears and thump the soft spot in the back of your head with your fingers, should resonate and feel like your head is the inside of a drum. 15-30 seconds." This ones either hit or miss for me.

Not personally, but I've known many musicians who gave themselves tinnitus from years of playing with inadequate hearing protection. It sounds, in a word, maddening.

Yep, it got worse about 10 years ago after a concert. It can be maddening but it now I've got kind used to it.

Yes but in general it was worse a couple of years ago. It's horrifying how such a thing as tinnitus even exists as there is no limit as to how bad it can get. To me it's something so harmful being trapped inside the repulsive flesh prison that is the human body.

Yes, I had some muffling and thought maybe it was wax so i tried debris and immediately got a ringing. I literally thought i was going to lose it in the first 3 months, but over time i have adjusted. It varies in intensity and only really bothers me when it's at its worst. Oh, and most frustrating, the docs treat it like it's nothing.

People commit suicide from it. One wealthy man I read about got it really bad from covid and shot himself.

One thing I've found to be helpful when it's bothering me is listening to tinnitus masking music. (There are many videos on YT in different styles - ranging from nature sounds to electronic music.) It provides a momentary relief by masking the ringing. It can be a calming distraction.

I've had it for 14 years.
Really struggled with it to begin with for quite a few years. Mostly gotten used to it now, but still bothers me occasionly.

Most tinnitus is low level background noise but twice I've had such intense tinnitus, for just a few hours, that I was extremely frantic and in a total panic. I was pacing around saying "what am I going to do?" over and over.

Those two episodes were torture that was unbearable. If I had a gun I might have used it then and there.

i think it is underestimated even by doctors how terrifying it can be....i was huddled in the corner of the room tears streaming down
my face & completely dysfunctional, couldn't even function enough to call for help. If i had more knowledge about tinnitus i could
have ovoided the risk factors, easy to say in hindsight.

Yes I've had it for around 30 years. Until around 10 years ago it was manageable and some sounds masked it. If I was in holiday the sea would mask it when waves were big enough but then it got so loud nothing masks it I hear it all day and it causes me to lose focus on people talking. It is a constant sound at 7100hz but I think I also have another at around 11000hz but can't hear that much.

This man made a huge success of his life. He was also loved by people who knew him. I posted this because it shows how bad tinnitus can be. His had the kind of it that is not tolerable. He and his best friend went out to a field. He hugged his friend goodbye, walked over to sit under a big tree, and shot himself.
