I was unemployed a while back and every day was the same. I didn't have money to do anything, barely any money for even food.

I decided to "sleep my self to death" as in sleeping passes the time and brings me another day closer to death.

I remember being so angry having to wake up, use the bathroom, drink water, or eat. If it wear not for these bodily functions waking me up, I could easily sleep until I die of starvation.

I enjoy sleep so much, it lets me be dead for a little while and I don't have to deal with my life.

Unfortunately I can't do it anymore as I have a job to suffer at right now but I still try to sleep with 90% of my time off.

Yes, Im unemployed atm and thats kinda what I do. I sleep for 8-10hr (lie in bed) after that I get up but dose off for ~15-20min multiple time a day and Im constantly tired. I wish I could sleep all day and night cause I really like to sleep. And I thought about this "method" of dying too. I think Ill do what you described, at least thats my plan if dont have any money anymore.

I'm the opposite. I typically do not sleep more than 5 - 6 hours a night, and it isn't good rest or sleep.

I wish I could get more sleep, but the nightmares never truly end, and I am always waking up ready for anything.

How are you able to sleep the day after sleeping 20 hours in a row? I struggle going to bed every night, and it gets terrible if I've overslept that day.

I'm also sleeping a lot but every single night is haunted by nightmares, literally. Sometimes I have several nightmares in one night. It's really exhausting, I have no clue what my subconsciousness is processing but I have them since I'm a little kid. I'm either sleeping or spending time on the computer though. I'm unable to do anything else.

I'm so sorry you have a job, that's awful! But I totally love your sleep attitude ;)

I don't mean that in the way you think.

I wasn't clear. I wake up full of anxiety and essentially ready to for anything to happen. Not in a good way. My waking process is one of panic and severe anxiety. Think fight or flight. I wake up in that mind state.

I would love to. But the depression gives me insomnia. Even with prescription medications, I'm not going to sleep more than 8-9 hours. Usually it's more like 6-7 hours.

Literally everyday? Without fail? Fuck man, when I was in full blown withdrawal I couldn't escape the flight or flight, it was fucking torture. I feel for ya dude. Waking at the slightest sounds and being fucking terrified, it's exhausting. Fair play for being able to distract and carry on.

I can sleep for 12 hours for weeks at a time. Sleeping more than that, however, is difficult for me.

I have done that throughout my life really, still now I do it sometimes since I have no job. The monotony of waking up mid-day or even at night adds to the nightmarish hell though for me. I know there is nothing to wake up to either. Going out after months without stepping out or even seeing adequate daylight the anxiety and feel of derealization is awful. In terms of fight or flight, I more so 'freeze' mentally whilst stuck in strong depressive cyclical thought patterns.

That's where I'm at now, I cave, fall down the pit of despair, try to hide from everything, even in a crowded room. Rediculous to think that I'm so self conscious and paranoid, yet, I'll basically curl up in a ball.

I am the opposite because I suffer from sevre insomnia. I sleep probably 3hurs a day. I have even had times where I have not slept for 24hours just desperately thinking about death. Constantly on my mind. Read and search the same thing over and over again to remind myself that I need to CTB.

I do that with sleep in patches. I need 12+ hours. I'd CTB if forced to work. No idea how you cope.

Not a CLUE what I'd do with so much time of day, either like the majority suffer through. I'm one off the luckiest few here with sleep certainly and I know it.

I have chronic insomnia so I'm lucky to get at least 2-3 hours of sleep total per day. I actually would love to be able to sleep for 17-20 hours a day.

I have a similar situation. I sleep to avoid the pain. I sleep for around 15 hours a day at the weekend.

I know the feeling. When i was really depressed i would deliberately take my mirtazopine and sleep 12 hours. Being asleep was better than existing in this reality. My dreams were so much better than being awake too.

I sleep longer than average nights, between 9 and 11 hours. I'm happy when I can manage to nap during the day as well but that's only occasionally. Basically I love being unconscious and look forward to it everyday.
