Sorry if this violates any rules. Please don't ban me.

But basically title.

I've tried dating apps. But it's mostly people who want to waste your time.

And the few times I've come close, it has fallen apart...

Almost as if I'm cursed.

Obviously, I prefer someone real, but at this point I'd just settle for someone to sext and swap nudes with...

This is hard to read and write.

I think fwb would be terrible in this case, you need to treat people with respect, not like some tool for sex. It's not "free sex without effort".

One case would be when people try a relationship but it just doesn't work for some reason, but they still enjoy time together and are fine with hookups every now and then, but are aware that it won't last forever.

Another where you have two adults that just don't have time for a relationship, because of works, maybe they also have kids of their own (not with each other), but still want some intimacy.

fwb.. you need a friend first. if you want a one time hookup, that's not fwb.

Not sure if you have ever been in a relationship, you seem to really want one, or experience sex, but the way you talk about it is off putting, and would also be to any potential fwb.

At this point you could talk to some chat bots (janitorai.com is great), althought I also think that would be harmful for you.

Random chaotic rambling of mine. It's really difficult to give advice here, but I wanted to say something.

This is really all part of the same problem. IF you could find a FWB you could probably have found a friend and a girl/boyfriend too. It's the same skillset and same kind of "luck" involved.

It's like... when I say I've never had a girlfriend... people say I must be doing something wrong so I should get therapy to "fix" myself... then they say it might take a while to find the right therapist.

Think about that for a minute.

The inability to find a girlfriend is going to translate very similarly to an inability to find a therapist you connect with... and it's a lot like the time I bought a workout equipment set that came with a weight restriction on it, essentially requiring you to be in shape already to use the equipment to get into shape!

mirroring what carrot said, you're still going to have to form a relationship with that person, no matter how shallow just sharing nudes with them is. most people would still want to be able to have conversation in stuff. it doesn't sound like you want anything besides a one night stand. i think that dating also requires a level of platonic attraction that makes them want to keep talking to you.

i've tried to have fwbs in the past but people just end up drifting away or being boring because they only want to talk about sex and nothing else. it's a very bad middle ground to have since it usually never lasts that long. it's essentially another relationship, but you started it on the basis of just having sex with each other. how do you know when you're being too distant or too clingy, since it's just about sex?
