Discussion Any fantasy LOTR or Harry Potter fans? What would you do if the films were real?

If you found the one ring to rule them all, what would you do with it? Use it to rule? Give it to someone else? Try to hide it knowing the forces of evil will be looking for it? Or, join the mission to destroy it?

If the world of HarryPotter was real, would you want to participate in Quidditch or the Tri Wizards Cup? Knowing you could be injured or killed, although I suppose most things could be fixed with magic. If you were a parent of a young witch or wizard, would you be ok with them going to Hogwarts, despite the risks?

I hope I would join the team to destroy the ring. I'd be rubbish at both Quidditch and the Tri Wizards Cup. If I had a magically gifted child, I would talk about the risks with them. If they still wanted to go, maybe it would be more cruel to stop them.

Check if pouring love potions into a parent's coffee makes them love their kid romantically or friendly, and how much less abusive they'd become.

If I was in the LOTR universe, I'd follow the example of Tom Bombadil, singing and laughing on his beautiful domains while the world burst into flames.
The wizarding world is too fucked up to consider being part of it
