Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone has experience speaking in therapy ab ctb or self harm.... I've seen online that they often have to breach confidentiality when you have both means and a plan to ctb. Though I also assume that, even if there's an objective legal bar for breaching, in reality it must to an extent come down to the vibe they get right?
Tempted to ask my therapist the exact requirements are for them to breach, and if they'd be willing to "talk around" topics which theyd need to breach if I told them in full.
Once a counsellor actually suggested "talking around certain topics" to me, to my suprise. Can't see her again tho.
I'm worried me bringing this stuff up will, in itself, make her jumpy to breach.
Also has anyone encountared a pro-choice therapist who won't disclose?
Sorry I'm sure there's many threads on this, am a new user yet to gain access to the search bar
