• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Well I have autism so no therapy is going to fix those problems. And I developed a physical problem that again, no therapy can fix that except force-feeding radical acceptance bullshit.

DBT talks about cultivating a life worth living but it doesn't take into account that not everyone is naturally equipped the same kinds of tools to fashion such a life.

I don't have BPD but I've dipped my toe in DBT. Hopefully you don't mind me answering. Some of it is useful, honestly most people mentally ill or not could find something worthwhile. I found it about as effective as CBT. I know some people prefer DBT but I also got some use from CBT. They're about equal for me. I've done sooooo much therapy that it all kinda blends together at some point. They just start from different perspectives. I would definitely be worse off without the skills I've learnt. Apparently if you have BPD you can reach remission/ no longer meet the diagnostic criteria after a proper DBT program.

What was your experience like?

I'm borderline and nothing regarding therapy has ever helped me. Maybe it's because I have PTSD, clinical depression and bipolar type 1 that I'm too messed up to be helped.

I'm diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and haven't done dbt but was admitted to a therapeutic community for personality disorders.. I got the feeling that's where they send you if they've tried everything else and it hasn't worked.

Bdp poison here. Nothing has work for me. I feel no therapists or psychiatrists want to work with borderline. They have very stigma and also they don't understand how horrible these emotions are. They think that with handling some stupid coping skills one will get better. I don't know if i taking dbt right now i guess i am . My useless therapist shifts from her methods all the time.
