• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think it's an important idea for people, especially prospective parents, to engage with. I find myself often agreeing with philosophical pessimism generally, but I wouldn't say necessarily that it's 'correct'. I think it's important to be able to situate your thinking and misery in a greater historical context that it developed in. I can't find any meaningful reason to want to engage in this world, but this world and a lot of Facts of Life that we take for granted like modern conditions of alienation are very recent and particular developments. My upbringing was very lonely and it's not hard to imagine that influenced the development of my thinking and value system in a way that led me to some philosophical dead-ends, and by that measure it's not hard to imagine that someone raised in a supportive environment and in a more humane society might develop their philosophical intuitions differently in a way that provides meaningful reasons to continue life, enjoy it, and pass it down to another generation as a genuine Gift rather than as an unexamined instinct.

No matter what this existence should never be imposed and it's just the most terrible, devastating tragedy how it was causing all this cruelty, torture and suffering as a result with no limit as to how much agony one can feel.

To suffer in this existence is just the most harmful, dreadful abomination, all that existence ever does is just torture existing beings, there's just so much evil in existing and no matter what I'll just always prefer to not exist than be tortured in this terrible, dreadful existence, to be conscious in this existence is torture and it's just so horrible how humans choose to torture others by forcing them into this existence and existing is completely unnecessary.

All that existence does is just cause so much torture, pain and suffering there was never a need for that just leads to decay and death anyway that could had been prevented by never suffering at all, existence to me really is just the most terrible mistake, to suffer in this existence will always be the most dreadful, terrible undeserved punishment to me.
