Antacids with SN

I bought for my regime some antacids. Maalox plus tabs which have
200 Aluminium oxide hydrated,
200 Magnesium hydroxide,
25 Dimeticone mg for one tab.
And it is suggested 2 to 4 tabs after meal .
This tabs are you wait for them to melt in the mouth .dont know if can be chewed.
Also Maalox plus syrup which have
114 Aluminium hydroxide (as Aluminium oxide),
200 Magnesium hydroxide,
25 Simethicone for each 5 ml of syrup.
And it is suggested 10 to 20 ml after meal.
Which of the 2 is best to use and at what quantity do you think is best as stans quide says double the suggested dose and they dont have a specific suggested dose.

liquid antacid are faster working and more effective than the tablets, not sure about quantity i have the same thing so id also like to know!

With Domperidone I guess I can't use antacids. I wonder if it will be a more painful death? Not that I care. I'll put up with anything to get out of this destroyed brain and body. I would jump in a crocodile pit if it were the only option.

You wrote about the suggested dose (2-4 tabs , 10-20 ml) so why say they don't have any ?

But if I were to answer: 4 tabs or 20 ml according to Stan's timeline . That's double the basic recommended dosage . More could cause discomfort .

hi again, so i did some more research on this, from the list of documented fatal cases from this forum, someone took milk of magnesia which would be the same as maalox, they took 4 5ml spoons (20ml)

maybe i will take one more spoon to be sure, since 20ml isnt over the recommendation but i think its enough, it worked for them

i think they just meant since it says you can take 2 or 4 which should be doubled, the 2 or the 4, since stan says to double whats recommended, i was confused about that too but i think we have found the answer!

I am asking which suggested dose to double up because for tabs is 2 to 4 . double up 2 or 4? Resulting in 4 to take or 8? For syrup it is 10 ml to 20 ml .which one to double up the 10 ml or the 20 ml resulting in 20 to take or 40 ml? Also i ask which one type is better considering there ingredients and considering that the syrup is more easy go down rather than the waiting to melt in your mouth 8 tabs (dont know if they can be chewed ) but if the ingredients of the the tabs is more good for the regime i will go with them.

So for my staff what is the recomended ?the tabs and ml It suggests are for after meal doesnt say daily use

I always thought that Stan meant 'double the daily recommended dose', because you are taking poison and therefore doubling a normal dose would not be enough. But this is how I understood it.

I don't like taking tons of pills, so taking 2-4 tablets sounds even better.

@Taraxias , dose at your discretion . It's the least significant part of SN intake . @Busdriver suggest taking 200Al+400Mg x 4 = 800Al/1600Mg . You are using 200/200 so an equivalent could by 6 for a total of 1200Al/1200Mg . But I don't know . In both cases up to 2.4g of stomach acid can be contradicted by the antacid .
(Al/Mg = minerals, while numbers denotes miligrams)

@Busdriver , Yeah I can see that :) Antacids have a limited effect , so if one were to take 5g antacids I'm not sure all will react with stomach acid , i.e. that doesn't mean "more 5g SN" . And I don't know how that would leave the state of the stomach (antacids are pretty safe but too much of everything can irritate) . It's all very speculative and nothing is conclusive , but the overall picture suggests there's no need to overdo antacids .

I think it would be ok 50 ml of syrup.dont want to chew those tabs all the time.50 ml syrup is ok?
