• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Whilst I believe people have the right to believe what they want to, I do believe if fewer believed in God, there would be less resistance to making death inducing drugs freely available to adults.

The 'you're playing God' thing grates.
And it informs policy massively, people believing they are upsetting a divine plan or that helping others end it will piss off 'the boss'.

I resent that when myself or others post in a regular 'suicide thoughts ' type group the responses are always the same - either "it will pass" or some waffle about praying and God helping me.

Imagine if with anyone other practical problem people said this. You have a leaky roof or a blocked drain or even "my husband has been shagging my friend". Imagine the standard response being "sorry to hear that, it will pass, keep praying. Count your blessings"

A person's wish to die is reduced to a kid wanting chocolate buttons for tea. It's trivialised as something you know isn't 'good for you' and your layered suffering trivialised to a bad day. Even worse it can be medicalised because it's not thought of as normal. But when such a large percentage of people feel that way, then how can it it count as a societal norm?

Well I've prayed for years and years and God hasn't helped me. Infact things just got worse and worse the more i prayed and believed. I couldn't of been more God loving and God fearing if I tried. But it still didn't help. I've had people say it's because I don't believe enough or I'm a big sinner...unlike everyone else who is blessed. So I'm the world's worst sinner .... and I have to keep coming up with every little thing that somehow makes me a really terrible person just to justified it. Or is is that God dosnt exist or really dosnt care? I don't know
