I just want to recover from my depression. Only when cured I can have ambitions I realistically pursue.

I wish to be a good journalist. Which I was before this illness destroyed my life. Also I want a girlfriend and a driver's licence. Can't pursue those because of my depression. I fucking hate it so much. When will i be free

To try shrooms for the first time then maybe smoke weed again to see if it helps but it's part of the reason I ended up here so not sure I'll do that again.

Drugs are great short term. Terrible long term.

All kinds, though I couldn't do everything I've dreamed of in life. Every goal seems ambitious at this point with the state of my health, but I would love to be a novelist of both romance books and short stories, potentially traditionally published; I also still wish to work as a nurse or phlebotomist, but these days I find the system so corrupt I'd like much more to learn more about growing my own food and herbs (esp for their potential aid in managing chronic diseases. But I'm obviously not against trad medicine for acute problems) and most ambitiously, live on a homestead just outside the city with the hybrid luxury of modernity and nature. I had the pleasure of staying with a family who lived like this some time ago; and I must sound like a crunchy hippie, but if circumstances ever allowed, I feel like it'd be the ideal life for me. Lastly, it'd just be to be a good wife (in the near future.)

I don't think they're entirely unrealistic if I ever got my health under control, but that's probably the most difficult (and wanted) ambition of all.

My goal is to have my first kiss and experience romance at least once. I know it sounds weird/pathetic, but we're all about being honest here

My ambition.
This is a very funny topic.

In a way, I have two wolves inside me.
One wolf is... me.
That is, a completely unambitious person who follows the path of least resistance. Additionally, I'm terribly lazy.

But the second wolf has gigantic ambitions.
Unattainable ambitions that lie deep within me.
Very naive and childish ambitions.

Maybe this is one of my problems.
I only get excited about big goals. Small goals seem too weak to me.
This is a mistake in my opinion.
Of course, at this point I can't even focus on very small goals, but that's another matter.

All I know is that no matter what I do in my life, my appetite will never be satisfied.

Idk but this is what my career tarot reading said:

"Card 1: The Five of Ankhs (Ankhs replace swords in this deck, focusing more on intelligence that incorporates wisdom)

The five of ankhs is about winning at all costs, even being too aggressive and causing some issues with your peers, but still ending in success. It's a card of extremely high ambition. This is in an area of intelligence of course, but would be something with a bit more spice where conflict is present. For example, being a lawyer, an EMT, working with the trauma of others somehow. This would be a path you find fulfilling both financially and in your heart."

I like the 'winning at all costs' part. However, don't you think being a lawyer or doctor could be a step toward an even more ambitious goal?

Hm, sounds tough environment. I have been wondering too if there's a path or certain destined career (I just can't simply make up my own mind about it).

Edit:// Tarot said that it's wheel of fortune, "so perhaps something that changes everyday". :P

@eatantz That's really cool! Nowadays, you can 3d print them at home.

I am feeling more upbeat recently which is surprising after planning to CTB for the last few months.

In the near future I am designing a 40 kilometres walk from the north to the south of the tropical island I live on. This year I will publish my second book which is about losing my mind.

Long term to have as many adventures as possible, and if I am lucky taste romance again.

Although, I still get hit by waves of sorrow and confusion at times and then I start thinking about CTB.

Finish my degree, hopefully land a job. That's not super ambitious though. I guess my ambitious goal is to simply retire for 60 to pursue passions. I will obviously pursue some passions while working but travel and the like will be easier in retirement. My career will hopefully pay decent enough to allow for some savings if i budget well enough. With a good enough budget, I could possibly even max out a Roth IRA annually, which I plan on starting upon getting my first job.

I want to do that too! I asked AI some tips:

Writing and producing a song can be a fun and rewarding experience! Here's a general breakdown of the process:
Songwriting:
  1. Find Inspiration: Listen to music you enjoy, pay attention to everyday experiences, or write about a specific topic that moves you.
  2. Develop Your Idea: This could be a catchy melody, a lyric phrase, or a chord progression. Play around on an instrument or hum a tune and record yourself with your phone.
  3. Structure Your Song: Most pop songs follow a Verse-Chorus structure. The Verse introduces the story, the Chorus is the catchy part that repeats, and there's usually a Bridge that adds contrast before returning to the Chorus.
  4. Write Lyrics: Craft verses that tell your story and a chorus that encapsulates the main theme. Don't be afraid to experiment with rhymes, metaphors, and figurative language.
Production:
  1. Record Yourself: You can use a simple home studio setup with a microphone and recording software, or sing into your phone's voice recorder.
  2. Build the Arrangement: This is where you add layers of instruments (real or virtual) to your song. You can play yourself, use loops and samples, or collaborate with other musicians.
  3. Mixing: Balance the volume levels of your vocals and instruments to create a cohesive sound.
  4. Mastering: This polishes your song by enhancing clarity and ensuring it sounds good on different sound systems. For beginners, mastering services are available online.
Here are some resources to help you get started:
Remember, there's no right or wrong way to write and produce a song. Most importantly, have fun and experiment with the process!

I had a same dream about 15 years ago... All my "songs" since that are "half" finished... I tried to return to composing/producing music about million times. It was never good enough for me.. Just "listenable"...

Oh I didn't include this in my post, and it's not super ambitious, just out of my reach currently. I saw this really cool project on YouTube, a touchscreen smart mirror that you can make. I'll try and explain how it works briefly. So it uses a one way mirror with a monitor of the same size situated behind it. Then it has a simple wooden frame, and uses IR sensors to allow for touchscreen. It also utilizes a raspberry pi to enable the touchscreen features and third party modules, which you can install from the website associated with this project. It can play Spotify and show the weather, all kinds of stuff, really. I don't know if this is considered ambitious, but I probably won't make it anytime soon but who knows, maybe upon completing my degree, I could do it in my free time and keep it in my apartment or something :)

I used to be ambitious but now I don't care and am focused on getting through the day. I'm kind of embarrassed about my ambitions before.

Right now my ambition is to learn how to accept loneliness. I want to return to university but this time with a more sturdy self-image that isn't dependent on whether or not I am capable of making a friend in a supposedly easy social setting. The previous times I just spiraled because I couldn't even make one friend to study with, it made me feel repulsive so I shut myself in my room and stopped going to lectures. This time around I want to study without any interest in a social life because I know that that is a lost cause and continuing to pursue it will send me to another bad spiral.

Yes, what would be the end goal? Because the tarot reading says "being a lawyer, etc" is more like a path
Financial independence retire early would be the end goal. I have no dream job, I don't dream of labor

Well, five of swords means e.g. clashing of ego, arguing and so. It could be something like trying to win a court case, where you have to stick to your side.
