I've noticed my whole life everyone always ignores me and when ever the realization hits hard again it just makes me cry. People around me don't seem to care about anything I have to say. I guess just now everyone's doing it. When I'm in big groups and I muster up the courage to finally talk, everyone always stays silent and goes to another topic and always disregards what I have to say. When I'm talking to friends they just ignore me completely even talk over me. Maybe it's just because I'm a shy person? Idk I think I'm childish and want attention. Everyone has done it today, my friends, my family, even my partner. It doesn't make it any better that I'm super sick and just want to be comforted. I've been in such pain in bed but no one cares. They just go on about there day. This is why I think everything would be ok if I just died. It feels like I'm just seeking attention when I feel this way and I feel guilty. Idk anymore tbh.

This part of life is actually quite straightforward. If you think of yourself as important, people will also treat you as important, regardless whether what you say has any value or validity. I could give an example from politics. And if you yourself don't think of yourself as important, nobody else will. And this cannot be faked, works at a subconscious level. So it all starts with you. The outside world is secondary, to the point of having no importance

I think you're just around the wrong people. And if you've been quiet in the past, that could also explain it a little too, though it's not your fault. Some people take quiet people for granted, and give a strange reaction when they decide to talk, since they aren't expecting it, even though they should be grateful that a person like that wants to/feels comfortable talking to them.

Agreed. Most people are looking for someone to follow and are drawn to confident people, regardless if their confidence is based on anything of substance. It's usually the loudest, most confident voice that garners attention

That's why the most successful people, CEOs, politicians, etc are usually very narcissistic and/or just naturally exude confidence.

'seeking attention' is not childish or anything negative. i still don't know to this day why the fuck people like to use that as an attack on others who do seek it.

we're humans. social beings. we can crave attention, and many can attest to that. doesn't make you childish.

the shyness might be a factor, but another factor is the fact that they're choosing to ignore you.
ever think it's not you, it's them? might have gotten unlucky being surrounded with the people you have now.

i don't know how often this happens to you each day, but remember that just because it happened in that single day, doesn't make it true for the other days. yet it can be enough to make you feel like absolute shit for most days or even longer, because people handle situations differently, so i understand it in that respect.
and when we wait for something to happen, it simply never does. your partner might not know you're feeling that way. reveal bits of your pain and see what happens.

good luck with whatever you decide to do.
