Me either but I knew I was screwed when I was 10 years old; I just didn't expect to be alive for this long. I've never been functional and gave up on being self sufficient, it's impossible when you're completely debilitated from trauma and don't want to be alive anyways.

Do you have the kind that don't want you to be independent because they want you to watch them in old age?

This is a huge issue in our world. So many lives stunted by inter generational obligations that aren't easy to fulfill. What I will say is this; some parents are deserving of being watched and others aren't
