Venting All i want is attention from everyone.

I think this post shows stupid and fucked up i am—just desperate for attention. My ex texted me how she wants me back. Im also I guess kind of im a 'talking stage', but its really complicated. Anyway, I dont necessarily want my ex back, but I just love the attention im getting from her right now. I just like the idea of someone actually missing me and thinking about me. Im stalling and not saying whether I want to get back with her or not just because I want her attention. How pathetic am I?

I don't think it's necessarily pathetic. I imagine most people would call the need for social inclusion natural. We are naturally a social species.

It just sounds like you have enough introspection to be able to view your own emotions. From there though, I suppose you can judge how useful they are. Is it helping you to feel this need for others?

Personally, I've had periods in my life where this desperate need for others was unpleasant. I've probably gone too far in the other direction now to be honest but, I suppose I learnt the hard way- that people are too unreliable to rely on.
