• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

About 100ml of air are needed. Move on.

In Final Exit the author talks about this, basically concluding that it doesn't work

It's blunt but I'm sure @Aap meant nothing personal. Regular members (definitely including me!) can just get frustrated at the mass of new members always posting the same kinds of very obvious questions, rather than them doing a search for existing threads on the topic first. It adds clutter to the forum, and makes it more work for us to find and respond to genuinely unanswered questions. It also fails to appreciate and utilise the effort of those experienced members who have answered these obvious questions in their existing threads.

Various ineffective or improbable methods such as air embolism, alcohol overdose, dehydration/fasting, water overdose, acetaminophen/paracetamol overdose, rat poison or antifreeze are frequently raised by new members, instead of their searching for the topics first, and just the collective laziness involved does get pretty tiring to witness. Please note this is not to imply that any single new member has done anything massively wrong. But it's a small gaffe on the part of each new member that adds up when seen from the perspective of regular users.

I hope this explains the context a little better.

There was nothing wrong with your question at all, as I wondered about about the same option. I am now intrigued and plan on researching this very procedure. Thanks for raising the question!

The search is working again. Do a search for it, and you'll find explanations on why it simply isn't practical.

Oh, you. You never fail to elicit a very dry chuckle.
