Is injecting yourself with air a viable and reliable way to end it? I've read about air embolism, but it's difficult to determine what volume of air should be injected where. I read that even a small volume in an artery is deadly, but I'm not sure if that's actually true. Also supposedly injecting yourself in your artery is more difficult vs the veins. Meanwhile I've read that you'd need a large volume of air (more than what most syringes can carry) in your veins for it to consistently cause death, again not sure if it's true but if so seems less viable.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this? I don't want to risk failure.

I think about it this way; lots of normal people self inject, for illicit drugs or prescribed medicine. if it were easy to fuck up and seriously hurt yourself, they wouldn't let people do it. Granted most self injection is IM or subcutaneous. But my nurse explicitly told me not to worry about air bubbles, its not really a concern. Generally seems to me methods via injection either require potent illegal drugs and a painful death, or large quantities delivered via IV.

It's pretty hard to reach an artery when compared to a vein, and you'd need a lot of air to kill yourself. It's not reliable and hard to do. Air bubbles are generally less dangerous than people think they are.

That may be true but I do know air embolism and getting significant amounts of air into your bloodstream can be deadly. My main requirement is it should be guaranteed death, but I'm not sure how that would work in this case.

I wonder what else can be injected to guarantee death
