Seaford Head 1
The classic view from Seaford Head, from where one member recently caught the bus (just walk to the right for a 200+ ft drop). The cliffs in the middle are called the Seven Sisters; Beachy Head is at the very far right of the picture, which may not look so high, but is by far the highest cliff of them all.

It's not the same place and I don't assign any suicidal sentimentality to it but I want to see the coasts of ireland before I die
Not so badly that I won't without though

My brother and my mother went there without me and had some really beautiful pics of countrysides and attractive cliffs to show for it.

It really is pretty.
It saddens me,
but surely not for the faint-hearted.

I would walk halfway and freeze and need airlift or crawl my way back down. lol

I'll stick to SN.

I'm still genuinely thinking about taking SN then doing the leap of faith from Beachy Head cos I really fucking want to (and the SN would put my mind at ease cos I've got a fear of being in agony at the bottom, however unlikely, but at least I'd know SN would be working its magic and then, well, either way I'd be dead in minutes).

SN is not that fast-reacting..
I dont like jumping because i dont know how certain it is people die on impact
but I hope it doesn't involve too much agony.

No I know get this though, this is my point: you take the SN, you give it two minutes (and no more, so you can still walk/run), then you take the leap of faith. You almost certainly pass out on the way down or at the bottom or indeed die instantly at the bottom. But if somehow miraculously you don't and you're lying there like with broken bones and blood everywhere and are like 'I couldn't even get this shit right!' you can at least be comforted by the inevitablility that the effects of SN will surely kill you in the next few minutes!

but the thing is you can't guarantee how much agony u feel upon impact.

You'll die with double insurance, no doubt, but at how much agony?

I just can't do jumping method.
I know we are talking SN as well, but
jumping method on its own, I think it's overkill on the agony-scale but not worth it for the success rate.

For me I think the moment of saying 'Fuck it' then jumping into the void makes it worth it. But of course it's easy for me to say that from the comfort of my bed...

For me, this would be a wonderful place to ctb - again, for me. I know it's not for everyone, but really wish I had beautiful cliffs like this somewhere in driving distance. Alas, I do not. I did consider traveling to a place like this to ctb, but covid, among other things, really complicates the process. Also, it seems a bit disrespectful to travel to another county's beautiful landscape just to ctb. That may sound ridiculous but there you have it.

Nah it's still just a fantasy for now. I'm still in Limbo. Can't believe Time to Fly actually did it though.

FAIR PLAY.

For sure, we're talking something like a 200ft drop but why do that when there's BH just there?

Beachy head is 535 feet high
Flamborough head is 400 feet (enough) and is only 50 miles from me in East Yorkshire and Imo much prettier
I often used to take my german shepherd there

I went to beachy head last weekend to scout as I still have a few things planned before I go. It is beautiful there, my plan B. I am just worried about having the courage to actually jump, although when I was there it definitely seemed doable.

I was thinking that the Seven Sisters may be quieter due to BH being famous as a suicide spot and therefore probably more heavily patrolled by the chaplains. I wouldn't want them to interfere if I were to attempt.

Same here. I want to jump but not sure I'll have the courage. Maybe if I don't look down first it'll be easier to just walk off the cliff edge.
