Afterlife??

Do any of you guys think an afterlife is real? And if so what kind? Curious to hear what everyone has to say on here

I'm hoping the afterlife is one where I get to see my dead family members again and I can enjoy spending time with them. I also hope there's delicious food and fun things to do.

YES. Now I do NOT believe in organized religion, BUT as far as good and evil, yes. Also if one want to call it a afterlife, or the next step/dimension, or wahtever great, but yes there is something else. for me this is just another stop on the long road, but I will miss it because of the people that i have gotten to know here on ss. The nicest, most empathic people that I have had the great fortune to get to know.

Well for me, and yes I know it is personal, but I can not envision that when i die that is it. One of the aspects I look at is for a long time, there is no water on any other planets, well yes there is. Life out there no matter what type..maybe? So just because one can not touch it or whatever, does not mean that there might not be. Mars has water and maybe microlife..who knows? I like a positive spin on things I guess.

It seems very unlikely and in any case undesirable. Wouldn't an infinite afterlife become rather boring after the first 10,000 years? At least you can escape this life by dying, but In an infinite afterlife there's no escape ever. It would be like suffering from insomnia and never being able to sleep.

I believe in reincarnation. As in, when you were born your body and consciousness simply started existing. In this situation you became a person. Perhaps next time you'll be a salmon or a ant. You know. Something like that. Like a never ending circle of consciousnesses. Yours is just being used right now. Also similar, death is very much like what it was before you were born. Remember? No. Just goes on.

i think there is some kind of reincarnation or that consciousness keeps on in some way we cant comprehend. i dont think ot has anything to do with good/bad deeds but with progress and evolution

Paranoid meme incoming but I find myself believing that we're brainwashed, incorporeal aliens strapped down in meatsuits and being endlessly recycled more strongly as time goes by. Like scientology but without the scandals, the pay2win hierarchy and the jet planes. No tangible reason for it.

Reincarnation is a decent second option....but still, highly doubt...

It depends, if you get liberated in this life itself,there wont be an afterlife, you will simply be extinguished forever and you will stop existing forever, if you have a desire to be reborn (that is if not liberated) then most likely there will be an afterlife, its simply rebirth or reincarnation and the cycle goes on until you get liberated (by liberation i mean fully realize that life is suffering and pointless), if you never get liberated then you will be reborn and die and it will continue forever!

I am a Christian believer too, but I'm having a hard time with this because some people say it's a mortal sin while others say God will forgive those who truly believe. I want to end it all, but I'm so afraid of going down to eternal hellfire. I think I've even heard the voice of God telling me not to give up. If I directly disobey Jesus my Lord because I feel that it's too difficult to keep pushing forward, won't that result in eternal damnation and separation from God? I'm scared...

Just because I'll go to Heaven when I die doesn't mean I want to continue living this life. Jesus' blood is sufficient to cover suicide.

Well, we are in "afterlife" every night in deep sleep, but we can't remember anything while dependent of our brain. So it just seems like a black nothing, but in reality it's the opposite and we can experience things in one night that would be equivalent to a whole life, because time isn't exisiting in this state.

To know of afterlife the logic should be connected to the life before birth if there is infinite afterlife then why we were here

Honestly too exhausted to even comprehend what you mean. I apologize, going on at least 30+ hours without sleep.

Not so much unique as I think it would be nice at another attempt at life. Whether that be another person or animal. I couldn't care less as long as I could forget this life.
