• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Like It was impossible to predict it happening so there's no way I could've set up some fantastical scientific experiment to prove it but just because Albert Einstein wasn't there to see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I think you're missing the point: witnesses, no matter how many they are -- can be unreliable as hell.
Asking for proof shouldn't make anybody upset like this

Whatever, I'm done with this kind of discussions.

lol it's like talking to a brick wall. I just couldn't be bothered anymore after the same nonsense over and over. People can live in their irrational bubbles, it's silly at best, socially harmful at worst, but whatever.

I'll listen to your advice from now on, I promise. It's not the first time I got wrapped up in this kind of discussion (my bad).

Oh I didn't mean you shouldn't. Someone has got to combat all the BS. I just got tired after a while. I mean when the argument is basically, "because you can't prove microscopic pink unicorns aren't flying out of my ass, that means it's a real possibility." Eventually you just go....Yeah...sure buddy... lol....

There are no proofs of anything, really. Proofs about afterlife or lack of are bullshit. We can only die and see (or not see) what happens (if anything happens).

I sure hope there isn't, what I'm afraid of is reincarnation. "I" transferring into another form of some sort. That is really scary. However, I think there is nothing afterwards, in order to experience you need some form of material body to experience. If there is nothing you won't know because your brain won't be able to detect it because you will no longer be self aware. Reincarnation is terrifying

How about I use my special nuclear electro gyroscope to measure the rate and intensity at which y'all can eat a dick? how bout dat?
This is the best post on this thread yet. I'd like to see the results of that experiment

Consciousness cannot be supported without a brain. It's an epiphenomenon that arises from interaction of billions of simultaneously firing neurons. You can notice how frail and flickering it is after somebody gets brain ischemia or a stroke: the personality of those people derails, they turn into somebody that they're not supposed to be at all.
Also, memories and perceptions can be altered enormously with simple transcranial magnetic stimulation, Imagine what would happen to them when synapses don't work at all.

FYI, there's a nice read about this subject

https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg21128311.800-a-brief-history-of-the-brain/
A blind woman was able to see in her nde. She had been blind from birth. People with brain damage and Alzheimer's become lucid with full memories intact at time of death. Silly

Don't worry and continue posting. Your posts are very informative. You replied previously to a topic I posted but it got deleted and I don't know why, I thought I finally got someone who understood my points.

I understand how hard to tell people about logic and reasoning because the whole life will be illogical.

Evolution is not incompatible with the continuity of life. It supports it. Do your research. Modern physicists like Lanza have shown that consciousness does not cease when our bodies die. Archaic views that consciousness ceases to exist at death of the body have been rejected by modern physicists.

But anywhoo, this post is not asking you about your beliefs or disbeliefs. In fact if you don't have proof of an afterlife there is no need for you to post here on this thread because the question posed is for those who do have proof to share their experiences here. You archaic theory propounders obviously do not have this proof. So there's nothing for you to share here. I'd really like to hear from people who have had experiences that point to an afterlife. Thanks

There goes our entire legal system then.

How so? How does quantum physics prove the existence of an afterlife?

Please research quantum slit theory

Read Lanza

Why don't you just explain it since I clearly don't understand? I have looked the experiment up before, though I haven't heard of Lanza.

lol, like I don't know anything about it. It's just that it hasn't anything to do with macroscopic phenomena, observable by daylight.

Lanza? Can't help but laugh at what he says

http://goodmath.scientopia.org/2011...it-with-solipsism-and-you-can-get-published-2

Also, I'd like to state again that considering how our brain evolved, asking our mind to support the afterlife would be not much different from asking our stomach to digest the whole freaking solar system after death.
---------------
[On a second note, sorry @Sonnenblume for breaking the promise I made yesterday. I'll just answer briefly :notsure:]

You just submitted someone's opinion as "proof" and earlier you were telling Tiredman that you don't accept eyewitness testimony as proof.

Whatever is convenient and suits your belief system is what you support. What you submitted is someone's opinion and as we know, opinions are like —————— everyone has one.

Good day and please visit a different thread. Apparently you aren't able to read very clearly. My question on this thread isn't whether an afterlife exists.

Look I don't want to be mean to you. You're suicidal and so I respectfully ask you to read my original post and realize that you are giving your opinion on something that was never asked.

Dear Lisa, the evolutive history of our brain isn't "somebody"'s opinion. It is backed up by dozens of years of research and it sheds light about why our mind is the way it is. It doesn't work like "wow, I've just seen something move in the light and I think that a superghost is visiting us for no reason whatsoever".

Also, it's clear to anybody with decent reading skills that Lanza doesn't give us proof of anything; biocentrism is wishful thinking based on a huge misunderstanding of how Physics works, and that article was posted just to make you understand *why*.

However, believe in what you want if ghosts make you feel fine. I cannot turn water into wine by simply speaking

Start replying to a post that is applicable to your opinions (which you attempt to support by citing others with similar opinions). Oh, but wait, that won't get you taken seriously. My bad

What, the double split experiment has nothing to do with an afterlife. It's not really even an accurate experiment, since the parameters are completely contrived by the scientist. Sorry I don't have time to delve into this, busy... believe whatever silliness you want *shrug*.

Have you ever seen a spirit? Had a communication from one? An nde? Anything that gives you a feeling that the afterlife exists? If so please share.
If there is an afterlife - we won't be us anymore, we probably will be something we can't fathom. Our conscious is not really something that could work without a brain so I don't think there will be one

There can be no proof of an afterlife because death is the undiscovered country from which no traveler returns. If someone 'died' and came back to talk about what was on the other side, they didn't die.

The more we try to explain that our brain isn't able to make our personality, memory and thoughts (that rely heavily on a physical network to work properly) pop up in the sky to float forever like some sort of disembodied entity, the more people come out with nonsense such as "we don't know"

It is hard for me to understand how can anyone prove anything with regard to afterlife (unless someone with no heart beat starts to talk....)

Yes lots of people say that they've seen it. But human perception is flawed. Our eyes can be tricked which is precisely the reason we can enjoy magicians' performances. But unfortunately as a result, we would never know if what we saw is what we think we saw. We can believe what we saw but we cannot use our experience as proofs.

Yes scientists have done lots of researches. But I also cannot say their research 100% proves anything either. Even the scientists themselves do not conclude anything with 100% certainty. Long time ago, people believed in geocentric universe with good reasons. For example, they claim the lack of stellar parallax shows earth does not move. What they actually missed is an instrument good enough to measure stellar parallax. How would we know if we just do not have the technology yet?

So I would say no one has proof. We can believe in whatever we want and at the same time open to the possibility that we are wrong.

The contradiction of it too is amusing, is it not? "We can't know anything, so you can't saying anything for sure, but I can definitively know anything is possible... because I say so" lol
