I have educated myself on information on the Suicide WIki and megathreads. I have got to a point where I have marked my carotid pulse with a sharpie, placed the rope directly upon it, yet I still compress the juglars which makes it extremely uncomfortable. I have only been able to get to rope placement correctly on the carotid twice, backing off right before unconscious with no discomfort. I wish I took a moment to analyze where the rope was before getting excited and believing I could replicate it again.
I have been practicing daily for a couple of hours at time, taking breaks in between to not occlude too much blood flow to the brain. I'm sure I will find it eventually; at this point I don't even think it's the rope placement but rather how my head is tilted. The Wiki says tilt your head down, but I have seen a number of posts here saying the opposite to open the arteries.
Not asking for help. Just thought I'd share. I know this is a common problem.
