Advice on Method (Can't get gun or SN)

Can't get a gun or SN.

Don't want to go by hanging.

Has anyone any advice on what could make drowning less painful.

Thinking of jumping in off pier some night soon.

Can anyone recommend a better method?

If you insist on drowning, then maybe try to combine it with ligature strangulation. If you stood in shoulder high water and used a thin rope or ligature to strangle yourself unconscious, I guess the water would finish you off while you are already unconscious.
