My primary goal is to 'attempt' so that my reasons to seek treatement in a hospital are valid. Got my shit packed for the hospital, all the animals are fed, and scheduled emails are sent. Regulars, please do not freak out. I am most likely alive and recieving treatement! If I am inactive for months and months, then I give you permission to start worrying!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately with the public health system, I do not think my concerns will be viewed as a top priority! I feel more comfortable having physical evidence of an attempt (hence why I am carrying this out). I felt anxious earlier, but I am feeling ok now. Careers are out of town at the moment. I will call an Uber to take me to the hospital in about an hour.

I'm sorry you feel driven to this extreme. I feel like just the fact that you're contemplating this is more than enough to justify going for help. You have nothing to prove to anyone. You can just tell them you set up a rope and almost did it. You don't have to prove it. Say if you leave, you will do it if that makes you feel better. But you don't have to gamble on your life if you aren't ready to die.

Why do you have to attempt to be treated in hospital? It shouldn't be that way... from memory we live in the same country and I know one can get an admission without attempting. In fact, private clinics might not want to take someone in those circumstances.

My absolute biggest fear is a failed attempt due to the horrors it can result in. Keep in mind what you are doing has a good chance at leaving you a paraplegic and/or brain damaged.

If there is even the smallest part of you that wants to live, and you said there is, then do not do this. You only risk making your life worse.
