Tried this method. About 23h ago!
I cannot describe exactly in which state I was during attempt. More than likely in delirium. But I wasnt drunk.

It took so long to just tie hangmsns noose. Then struggled to pour 800ml conc citric acid into same bottle. It took maybr 15 min. Then added my last notes to diary. There were added 1.33am, 1.38am and last one soon after. I recall just dropping full bottle out of my hand so half acid went to floor

Poured 1kg of soda into bag and also bottle of acid. Now put bottle inside bag. Struggled to put rope around bag. Tightened hangmans knot. Lied down. Pushed the bottle over...
Remember feeling: I will not back up, no matter what. I breathed fast and felt anxiety altrough a distant. I wasnt there anymore. Maybe I drifted in and out of consciousness. I am not sure did i pass out from gas or something else.


5.26bam woke. Felt nauseus as I had tried to inhale pool water before, just to test my instincts. I wasnylt fully awake, but I immideately wanted to remove evidence.

I was really grateful to wake up, but had I tied my hands to body as I planned I couldnt have told this story. Do I regret it? No, it changed me, my personality, my happiness, my attitude. Glad I didnt end up in brain damage.

But what saved me exept guardian angel? Convulsions! Discovered marks on my head, chest and wall. Sad that even if anyone had heard me hitting wall, they couldnt have saved me since door was completely blocked...

You wont believe how happty now living feels. Hope someone now reconsiders living, but if you are really good to go, then plan 2 weeks ahead. Do everything you have always wanted. Lose your inhibitions. You may have chance thst this 2 weeks convinces you to carry on living.

Heh, I put baking soda + white vinegar in a plastic bottle, quickly close it, the bottle puffs up and the pressure inside it increases. After some time I open it and quickly inhale the gas (pure CO2). After I inhale the gas, I hold my breath for a bit and afterwords I bag breath for a while (well not really bag breathing, I hold my hands forming a tight seal over my hands and mouth, like a C shape, allowing very little air in; same result as bag breathing. I also do this with a towel in my hands, same but more effective constricting a better amount of air), constricting my breath. At first it's pretty hard, but afterwards it gets easier and feels like a spiritual experience, I have to try and remain calm and take controlled breaths, and accept any discomfort. I do this for a solid 10 minutes.
My forehead gets extremely sweaty, and I mean really sweaty, and it's not from exertion, I read that it's part of CO2s function in the body.

Anyway, some time after I do this I feel extreme calmness. It helps with my insomnia. Previously it also helped with my Dyspnea (when I had it)

Carbon DiOxide (CO2) is not the same as Carbon Monoxide, the former is produced within the body in small amounts as part of Glucose Oxidation. However, in an unhealthy individual Glucose Oxidation is impaired (Hypothyroidism (which is more common then you are lead to believe, about a third of Americans have some degree of Hypothyroidism, a third of depressives of Hypothyroidism, 1/4 of Insomniacs have Hypothyroidism etc.), illness, general Mitochondria under-activity/Hypometabolism), and so the body takes more inefficient routes to Oxidise Glucose; in these routes CO2 is not produced as a byproduct of Glucose Oxidation, so blood CO2 levels are lowered in an unhealthy individual like this.

What was described should effectively raise blood CO2 levels, helping the body.
A better way of achieving a similar effect is the Wim Hof breathing exercise. When I did this carbon dioxide method I was very surprised as to how similar it felt to the "high" that the Wim Hof breathing exercise gives you. Very calming and relaxing.

so theoretically all I would have to do is put baking soda in a bottle, squeeze the air out, pour in vinegar and quickly put a balloon on the lid, set up for partial hanging, remove all air from my lungs and wait until I can't hold it anymore, breathe in the balloon, and I'd be gone
As long as the partial hanging actually works then I would assume so. Although if you need to use this method to pass out, then your partial hanging probably isn't sufficient enough to kill you unless its just SI you need to get over. Partial hanging should be able to make you pass out quickly on its own.

I'm wondering if combining benzos and booze with this method ( 1/2 gallon of citric acid dissolved in purified water fed into a 1/2 gallon of dissolved baking soda and piped into an exit bag) while in a large bath one can be mostly submerged in so when the pass out from the CO2 happens you drown could work for ctb. The piping would keep a steady co2 coming in to the bag.
Do you all think 4 benzos and a bottle of wine would be enough to remove the SI?

Basically I would want to create a very comfortable death. Set up my apparatus ahead of time, with two bottles, one of dissolved citric acid piped into a bottle of baking soda that then is piped into an exit bag around my head. There are some youtube videos showing how to make a homemade co2 "tank" for aquariums that gives a pretty long and consistent reaction generating a decently large amount of gas.
I would run a nice hot bath first in a large cast iron bathtub which is long enough that I can laydown flat. Drink a really good bottle of wine, take 4 or 5 benzos and then get set up quickly with the bag before starting my co2 gas reaction (squeeze bottle of citric to flow into bottle of baking soda). Attach bag to head and let oblivion wash over me. If I pass out from the co2 I would slide into the tub of water and drown peacefully.
Or at least that's what I assume would happen. Anyone see any pitfalls to this plan?

So you just put vinegar and sodium bicarbonate in a bag and breathe in the bag like a panic bag?
I have 500ml of distilled malt vinegar, if I poured that in a bag + added 170g spoons of baking powder, is that enough?

Is this what it looks like, or does the red bottle need to be a bowl rather than a bottle as CO2 is heavier than air and so would sink to the bottom of the bottle and not out of it I presume

as I do so the sound of the fizzing starts to warp and distort, and my vision starts filling with colorful vibrating dots.

I almost interpreted this as a psychedelic experience before I realized that hey, this is just what happens before you pass out. smh.

I dont know if I did it wrong, if you're supposed to use vinegar instead of citric acid or if you guys have a high pain tolerance but this method caused my nose to burn, it felt like fire rather than some instant peaceful death

Does anyone has more information about this method? I really want to try it, but i'm afraid of permanent damage if done wrong... This seems better than hanging or drowning.

Not sure if you still on here but I'm interested in this method too, I think it's pretty simple. Based on what I've read (there is a study that discusses what it feels like for people to inhale a range of CO2 concentrations) the people who reported burning might have had the concentration too high, breathing near-pure CO2 is not pleasant. However, lower concentrations are supposed to be more tolerable and still cause rapid unconsciousness.
