So now I can't even CTB and I have most likely spread severe mental illness.

Well if your problems are external, no matter how horrible they may be there is hope of escape, but when the problem is in your mind, the core of your being there is very little hope that you will ever feel okay or happy, even in the best of circumstances. Kanye is a perfect example of someone who has everything but his warped mind won't let him find happiness or peace.

And most people in the most horrifying of circumstances still want to live. Even people in concentration camps generally wanted to survive if possible, even if things were completely hopeless.
