Help About Paroxetine

I have anxiety. I want to try paroxetine. Has anyone used this medicine? What are its pros and cons? If you're willing to share.

As far as I was concerned, no pros as it really didn't seem to work even after giving it about 4 months. Withdrawal was terrible, brain zaps were completely debilitating.

BUT this is just one person's experience, and I'm sure there are people it works for. It's more the withdrawal from it that I would want to be sure a friend was aware of before starting it.

I woudl explore every non-medical option possible before I tried taking a psychiatric drug again.
