  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

"Given a current global population of about 7.8 billion, the revised estimate means those alive in 2020 represent nearly 7% of the total number of people who have ever lived."
I thought it was kind of interesting and comforting when it comes to the topic of CTB that we're statistically more likely to be dead than alive right now 'as a human.' Most of our biological ancestors are already there, and if there's some big secret or something after our inevitable deaths, 93% of people are already in the know. We're just the ones still hanging back naive and unaware and scared - like that kid who sits alone at the lunch table.

I find it so comforting to think that no matter what happens, eventually this life will go away and the suffering will end. I believe there is nothing after this and I know I belong in the nothingness. Some people may say that suicide is irrational but it makes sense to me wanting to escape decades of pointless suffering.

There's no need to strictly identify as human in this context.

Your great great (etc.) grandparents of 7 million years ago were monkeys. Your elders of 100 million years ago were hamsters. Of 4 billion years ago were single-celled under-sea organisms. What percentage of them are dead? Prepare to wear out the '9' key on your keyboard.

Way too recent in the geological time scale, but what the hell:
