"Given a current global population of about 7.8 billion, the revised estimate means those alive in 2020 represent nearly 7% of the total number of people who have ever lived."
I thought it was kind of interesting and comforting when it comes to the topic of CTB that we're statistically more likely to be dead than alive right now 'as a human.' Most of our biological ancestors are already there, and if there's some big secret or something after our inevitable deaths, 93% of people are already in the know. We're just the ones still hanging back naive and unaware and scared - like that kid who sits alone at the lunch table.
