Have you ever planned a suicide pact with that one or you prefer to do it alone?

I think it really depends on ones situation - the time you are giving yourself to prepare, to sort everything out and maybe also to get to know someone. It's all about trust, really, because of the whole situation making us so very vulnerable. Zusammen ist man weniger alleine, but online you never know who is on the other side. The thought of having someone next to me who understands and is willing to go that very last step is very calming and makes things easier. Meeting someone, however, that might not have good intentions leaves me with a very unsettling feeling.

But that's just me. .... And, hi everyone and thanks for giving me the opportunity to be part of this great site!

I would like to do a suicide pact or least a partner but I agree with Anima. There is comfort in it but at the same a risk, but if you could find the right people then why not. On your own is good also of course but the problem I have doing it on my own is the means to get what I need to do it. Otherwise I would do it on my own if I had a gun or something really quick where people wouldn't be able to intervene so easily.

Yeah , I totally get that and together you have different resources, different ideas and knowledge in different areas. I think that is a great plus

I, for myself, am so scared of doing this.
And if i know there's someone with me who'd do the same it would be easier for me.
At least that's what i imagine. i don't know whether it's true or not.
But i guess it helps me to think that there are other people who would do it with me.
But I'm always scared of failing even tho i planned everything.

I agree, I get that also. A few days ago I failed a suicide attempt using the Detergent suicide method because I did it in not a small enough area for the Hydrogen Sulfide Gas to be fully concentrated in. I did it in my bathroom. I thought it was small enough, I was wrong and so it didn't work. I duct taped the door and the small gas in window but still not work. Then brother came home and I panicked and had to stop before he saw what was going on. He saw one of the signs I put up but it was on the bathroom door up the stairs so he could not see it clearly and I took all the others down before he could see them.

I managed to escape detection this time but it was a close call. Best done in a car I heard as the Hydrogen Sulfide Gas can spread easier in the more confined space and thus become more lethal because gas can become more concentrated in a small area.

A friend of mine called the police on me because she thinks i'm suicidal, so i'm getting medical attetion for now. I get hospitalized for around 5 weeks. And i planned my ctb for the time after that.
When i know when i'm getting out, i'll reply in the partner thread and i'm hoping that i'll find a partner with which i can do it asap.
And i hope the charcoal method will work efficiently.

Ok sure thing, if i'm still around by then, perhaps I can message you and see if I could join you. I hope we get our wish soon for peace.

This is probably going to be a slightly unpopular opinion. But why do people so commonly talk about the other person in a suicide pact having "nefarious intentions" it's not like they should necessarily, but considering the fact that the endgame is for all participating parties to kill themselves. Does it really make all that much of a difference overall?

I've never planned one and don't intend to. The people I care about shouldn't see me die. I don't want to be around people I don't know or care about when I die, as it's a very personal experience. At least for me it is.

I've never really thought about it, but I like the idea of a pact. I'm scared to do it, but I think I'd have the strength if I was with someone. Heck, even having someone talk me through it online might be enough.

I am quite comfortable with pacts and a pact generally, the proper place to post is in the partners mega thread read that sticky rule first.

Im eagerly awaiting a reply someday to my partners mega thread posting.

A more interesting fun fact should be, out of the amount of people who join here to find out methods, very few of the 3,000-odd members post in the Partners Megathread.

That says to me two things:

• lot of people are able to ride solo then, it seems. Just making some good points here all.

• many are too scared or nervous about wanting a partner to share or combine resources.

Each to their own, but it's just fascinating stats to assume.

Almost 4,000 members and counting.

@Golden wolf i too tried detergent suicide with Lime sulpher dip and hcl in a bathroom but did not seal it properly so it did not take effect and the room had pungent smell for many days . The items are very easy to get and its very quick and painless with one or two breaths.

I think it's quite essential if the other person has "nefarious intentions" as you say. People might want to end their lives but that doesn't mean they want to die a gruesome death ...!

I am eager for more Australians to join up here to increase my chances...hopefully the coming Christmas reminds those out there to feel suicidal, look up said means on Internet, and then find this site including my partner mega thread posts.
Then it should just be a piece of cake getting the hell out of this world :)

Would a suicide pact where one party would send me sodium azide and I'd send them something else work ? Partly serious, partly kidding.
