No, I've been following them because I was curious what they were going to do about this. About a month ago they stopped producing/selling it from their website. Amazon distributors still had their product for a few weeks but once they sold out presumably they couldn't restock anymore.

Did they specifically say they are stopping production? Even if they did, businesses will always going to protect themselves. It's still available in tons of places and different brands. OP is just inciting premature panic. It's inevitable pro lifers will win but this isn't it.

I'm terrified of ordering SN here in the US bc I am paranoid that it will be seized or my house will be raided or something. Even if it is still legal. Granted, I do suffer for anxiety and paranoid thoughts so it could be just me. Has such a thing happened to anyone?

Wont happen. Its legal. Even if they ban it they cant retroactively make it illegal. And it has a variety of legitimate culinary and scientific applications you can cite as to why you have it. Perfectly safe.

Someone, somewhere will always be selling it. The only problem I see is that if suppliers reduce in the amount of them, then prices might go up.

Still trying to get my hands on SN, but living in Europe, Amazon.com no longer ships here and other companies require a company and sell go individuals. Anyone got a tip?

Fuck, it's just like pro-lifers think they are doing the "right thing" but all I see is them trying to force us to stay in this cage. This shitty life. "Stay in the cage stay in the cage stay in the cage..." I hear it over and over again in my head.

That being said, I agree with @Stan . But we shall see what the future holds.

SN is currently unavailable from a certain seller on a certain reliable popular website. It's not even showing up when you do a "sodium nitrite" search even with the name brand'

After reading through the reviews it made me wonder if the seller stopped selling it over suicide complaints or if they just ran out of stock because of all the people ordering it for the purpose of suicide.

Here's some of the reviews this certain SN product is getting.

October 17, 2019
my brother committed suicide with this product 2 weeks ago. the fact that it is sold with no restrictions is absurd.

I'm sorry for your loss. Your comment is only confirming the effectiveness of the product though. You may want to consider removing it for that reason.

July 15, 2019
My niece used sodium nitrite to commit suicide. It is being recommended on suicide websites and in suicide handbooks. Please stop selling this product. It's illegal in many other countries. I've already notified amazon and they said they would help with this but they have not.

November 12, 2019
Very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately there are many goods sold on Amazon and other online retailers that can be used for such a purpose (sodium-nitrate or -azide, rope, knives, etc.) and banning so may items is not a practical endeavor nor fair to sellers who offer goods for legitimate purposes.

November 12, 2019
There are people complaining that this product is "dangerous". Yea, and so are knives, screwdrivers, hammers, and bleach! Even BOILING WATER is dangerous! Don't blame the product for how it's used (or MISS-used). Quite frankly, I too bought this because it is now known to be a reliable suicide method. So? You will NEVER stop suicides by banning the "tool". Don't be ignorant.

July 29, 2019
Great product. Bought multiple times, has many great uses. As for the person who said this product is dangerous. Many legal products and chemicals in the united states are far more dangerous. There are even people who have committed suicide from overdosing on caffeine. The solution is not to illegalize everything, or to impose your values on others.

What do you guys think ?
I just bought it on that website this week and had it delivered yesterday. Maybe it's your region?

I checked the ecommerce website and the manufacturer website today. It's not even listed on the producer's website anymore. Ecommerce resellers can't restock because the producer stopped making it. This was 99.6% pure reagent grade SN ,the highest quality , fine powder, the best company imo. It's a terrible loss. I'm in shock. It was $10 a bottle (4 oz) plus shipping. When i saw this . I screamed "bastards!"

I'm in America(The USA) Where are you? You couldn't have checked today in the USA and found it still available there.

I just saw your other post. You got 98% SN .that is not nearly the same quality as the 99.6% SN nor the same company. But we can't post names of companies here. But some people know what company it is.

That is not the same company. The one we are talking about was 99.6% pure reagant grade SN , much higher quality than what you bought and a different company. This is a matter of life or death. Quality counts imo.
This is lab grade =>98% pure. So I respect your desire to find something incrementally more pure, but I think this answers the initial question of has it been pulled from the site. It's not like this is Prague powder. But let's hope it continues to be easy to find. Also, it dissolves in ethanol so it's pretty easy to concentrate, if you're so inclined. Good luck. I wish you all the best in your hunt.

We were talking about a different company than the one you bought from. This one said 99.6% pure SN. Not sure which is better now. I know that the company we were talking about stopped making it . It was a popular SN here. It was a high quality company called "L****" "W***" . don't know if it's ok to post the "source" now since it's not a source anymore. We're not saying they banned SN from all companies in the USA just one company that was popular here.

Our point is they are starting to get companies to stop distributing/making it. This company is not making this SN anymore:

There is zero evidence at the moment that any company has been stopped from selling SN on the jungle site. If there was indeed a ban wouldn't all SN sales have been stopped? Maybe the company decided the profits are not there and their resources are better focused elsewhere. Maybe they need to make another batch. Maybe they are repackaging in 30 gram containers to go after a new market.

I bought a book on how to make my own cured meats. Apparently, there's 6% sodium nitrite in the premade curing salts. I can save a lot of money by making the curing salt myself and I can add other flavors as well!

For the record nobody is saying that the jungle site is banning any or all SN products. At the moment there is one SN product in particular that is currently unavailable and unable to find on that site. Considering the negative reviews that were left for that particular SN product one has to wonder if the product manufacturer/seller decided on their own accord to stop selling that SN product on the jungle site for the time being because of suicide complaints/concerns and the bad publicity that comes with it. It's definitely too soon to tell for sure but if that is the case then perhaps this is just the first domino to fall and will embolden the pro-lifers to try and get more SN products from being sold on that site.

Hey special k, thanks for the info. I have been meaning to order this for quite some time but just didn't . Hopefully it's not too late. I do see this taking off and they will stop selling it eventually but we should still have time. I a man going to check the site you are talking about now and try to order it now. I just got caught up in supplies for another method and had been planning on ordering but just hadn't yet. Do you know if it has a shelf life? Let's say that if for some Miracle I decided not to ctb for 5 yrs and just let it set around would it still be good?
Thanks
Looks like what they are selling on there is sodium nitrate not nitrite. That's what it says anyway. The jungle site appears to still have it. One that list it a 99%+. It says food grade. Also has warning labels on it and says not for human consumption. This should do the trick then. This one is in a white bottle. Any thoughts on it?

Not on the retail site . The producer for that name Brand has a website that is different from the A site .They manufacture many chemicals. You are talking about the big retail ecommerce site that is taking over the world . I searched the Producer's website and all manner of chemicals are there except SN is mysteriously missing.

I googled the producer's name and sodium nitrite .And then i went to the page for that chemical SN and it said this :
"There are no products to list in this category. "

When they did have a product in that category SN. And now they don't but they make hundreds of other chemicals which are there.
That has happened on that site before and the product came back on sale.

You all need to lay off the paranoia. Yes, you can find SN on LW's site. Yes, you can add it to the cart. Yes, they really are after you and now they're tipped off. No, I already bought mine and it came in a plain bubble envelope with no distinctive markings or labels. Yes, you can order SN with other chemicals to not be so fucking obvious. No, you'll have to figure out its location yourself. Yes, the 2nd moon landing was faked.

Seriously, chill out. Unless SN is illegal and/or restricted in your country, then stop preemptively panicking.

If the thought of purchasing a legal item (SN) from reputable sellers (LW) on reputable platforms (AZ) still causes you to flip out, then you may want to find another bus ticket.

How did you access the reviews if the product isn't showing up in the search results?

Someone somewhere is sitting on tons (and I mean tons) of SN. Its been bought and paid for by the companies that resell it. Do you think they would completely stop selling and go bankrupt because they can't move a food preservative? I doubt it.

The danger here isn't legislation, nor even so much online markets prohibiting the sale of SN (though i do think that a realistic possibility). It's the likelihood of additional barriers to purchase being erected, just as with eg nitrogen. Those who are determined and higher functioning will likely still be able to get around those barriers but those not will at least feel unable to - to discourage the latter group will be the intent.

Is 99+ pure food grade a good option? Bc i saw 2lb today for 20 bucks

That is the best SN you can find.

Also:

When ordering SN, specify to the store or/and to the seller, you are ordering it to preserve sausages. Make a printed order with the note to keep.

Not only you will get the purest SN available, BUT no one will never come to your house, seize your package and make any question about it, because is your legal right to purchase and use it for that purpose. If someone ever will ask you to show your stock of sausages, just tell that you have to prepare it soon.

Just for scientific information: For the preservative use of SN: 1/3 of teaspoon of nitrite can be mixed every 10 kilogram of chopped meat, to preserve it from oxydation and bacteria.
