so, after considering my suicide options i have chosen partial hanging due to hypoxia will cause brain dead, im planning on calling the 911 before hanging myself so by the time they arrive i will be dead but maybe they still can use my organs for people that need them
i have 20 years and i am healthy so i consider this plan may work... or am i being to optimistic?
i thought of doing this due to my university, i study medicine and a couple of months ago they talk about the importance of organ donation

That's decent of you, but imho just asking for trouble. If they reach you in time for your organs, they'll also reach you in time to revive you, which they will and you run a chance of ending up a vegetable or in a ward.

I think all suicides in the USA require an autopsy, or at best one could be ordered by the authorities with no recourse or way to stop it by family or estate executors. This is true even if there's no suspicion of any foul play. They're considered "violent" deaths, and fall under the usual rules for such things. I mention this because my understanding is that by the time an autopsy has been conducted too much time has elapsed for any of the major organs (kidney, liver, heart) to be viable for donation.

To put it crudely, your body starts rotting almost immediately. And very quickly makes your corpse unsuitable for organ donation.

But note that I'm neither lawyer nor physician, so OP might want to do some digging into this matter before acting or not acting on what I've stated here. I might be wrong.

edit: I'm pretty sure this book discusses how quickly organs rot, though it has been a while since I've read it.

I understand the wish to save lives, I've studies medicine myself and I know how important organ donation is. But it is unlikely that it will go as you plan. Either they will arrive to late, and you are dead, or they arrive too early and you will be 'saved', potentially with lasting brain damage. If you really wish to die, the safest way is to ensure that you are really, in fact, dead and gone, beyond the point of potential return.
It is unlikely, even if you are braindead yet still viable for organ donation, that you will be an organ donor. They will attempt to revive you, and depending on the lengths they go through, you will not be 'usable' anymore.
Additionally, at least here, 99.5% of suicides do get an autopsy, so I believe that they would rather stick with set protocol than possible organ donation.

I understand your wish to save lives, I really do. But it highly unlikely and very much risks your ctb.

You've got the right to be protecting your own interests for once, and ensuring you remain dead should be your priority. If you had chose to live a little a longer, the world would have had to manage without your organs anyway, so don't feel guilty about it.
