There are Republican trifectas in control of no less than 23 states, while the Democrats hold trifectas in only 15.
One of the GOP trifectas is in Joe Manchin's West Virginia, and Manchin has received numerous entreaties to defect from the Democrats to the Republicans. Since he has four more years left in his current term, it is Manchin, not Schumer, who is now the most powerful member of the Senate. (Manchin may actually be the most powerful person in the nation, period.)
Schumer will be majority leader as long as Manchin allows it. But if Manchin decides to defect or become an Independent, then McConnell would regain his current role as majority leader.
Biden did not have the coattails in 2020 that Trump had in 2016, when Trump led a Republican hat trick which took over the Senate. Again, the Democratic leadership is walking on eggshells because of Manchin, and even if Schumer plays his cards perfectly, the Democrats are virtually guaranteed to lose the Senate in next year's elections. Biden's power is so severely limited that a miserably failed presidential candidate was imposed on his ticket, a freshmen senator with severely limited experience and virtually no frame of reference on growing up in the United States or being American. (Her father was a Jamaican national, her mother was a citizen of India, and she grew up in Montreal from age 12 on during a time of Quebecois separatist ferment. She is the least qualified POTUS or VPOTUS ever, yet she is now virtually guaranteed the highest office by globalist media elitist dictate.)
Even in states where there is a Democrat trifecta, sharp infighting is taking place. In New York, Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio are continually at each other's throats. At the Capitol, a loud progressive insurgency is screaming for their radical policies to be enacted.
If fracking is discontinued as environmentalists demand, and newly gained energy independence is lost, then a surge in fuel prices results, the Democrats will be dead in 2022 and 2024. The American public will not tolerate fuel prices going much above two dollars per gallon, especially not with a COVID damaged economy. Beyond that, the Democrats have to do more than Trump's administration did in the cause of peace. Getting back into increased military conflicts and foreign entanglements will kill them. They have made a massive amount of political hay out of attacking Trump's abrasive personality, but they no longer have that luxury. The instant it becomes obvious that his actual policies were superior, they will be done for.

I don't rule out Trump pardoning Snowden either. Issuing pardons is not something Trump has been stingy about, and he's indicated he very well might pardon Snowden. Assange is Australian, while Snowden is American. Such a move would bolster Trump's own anti establishment creds ahead of a possible return in 2024.

Real shame I can't go anywhere in America without seeing decapitated heads on fenceposts, or little girls in cages being auctioned like cattle, or homosexuals being hanged or thrown off rooftops. Oh, wait... that's the opposite of America.

Agreed! Assange can rot in hell. Snowden is the one that deserves a pardon. But Trump has made it very clear he considers Snowden a traitor, so I'll be beyond amazed if Trump pardons him.

I'm not going to continue this argument. I'm in my forties and I've lived a lot in that time. Maybe Joe went to pinch her chin as in symbolizing "keep your head up" and she moved or he stumbled. I'm hoping Joe can get the public option for health care at least voted on so that can accompany Obama's plan with private insurers. I think with Joe what you see is what you get. He has a stutter. Pretty difficult to be devious when you are just trying the best you can to get the words out. And all politicians touch kids in semi hugs and kiss babies and the little ones generally smile. It's part of their gig. Joe is known to hug basically everybody. They did a funny SNL skit that would a lot more fun to watch than the video you talk about.
