I have such a feeling as if my heart skips a beat.I wonder who else has this and what is the reason for it?

Can you elaborate a little more? How often does it happen? When I have anxiety attacks/dissociate I can often feel like that, or as if an elephant is sitting on my chest.

This does not happen very often. Maybe once a week this happens 100%.Panic attacks happen every day. I thought it was because of panic attacks.

i'm not sure about panic attacks or if this is caused by them as i haven't had this happen during one of mine. it's possible, though. if you suffer from an eating disorder, that could also be causing it. it's a fairly common symptom. but i would recommend talking to a doctor either way to figure out the cause, if it's worrying you and you'd like to figure out a solution.

it could be caused by several different things, i believe. in the case of not eating enough, it has to do with your heart not having enough electrolytes to function properly, if i remember correctly. but i'm not a doctor.

You should visit a cardiac specialist and have that checked. There are many reasons that can cause that. I wish you all the best.

I suffer from this on a regular basis due to Anxiety.
I also drink too much coffee.
Arrhythmia can also be caused by lack of sleep and dehydration.
Maybe see a Doctor to put your mind at rest ?

That is likely what's called pvc's, and this is often actually a digestive system problem - the vagus nerve - mimicking a heart problem. Try taking a little extra amount of Pepto Bismol.

If you have access to healthcare (what a planet) a proper exam will let you know the cause and probably make you feel better. It's rather simple and quick. A cheap little blood pressure monitor can also show you how often it occurs and this again will give you pointers on how to proceed. Medications can also be a possible cause (e.g. thyroid, from own experience).
