A button appears in front of you. If you press the button, you die immediately and painlessly. Do you press the button?

I think it has to, or the last of us would have to climb over a mountain to get to Oneness's button.Does the death include some kind of bodily disposal of our choosing, or do our bodies stay wherever they where just before pressing the button?
A good question! The magical button reads your mind and gives you the disposal you desire.Does the death include some kind of bodily disposal of our choosing, or do our bodies stay wherever they where just before pressing the button?
Who cares, when you are dead, you are dead.Does the death include some kind of bodily disposal of our choosing, or do our bodies stay wherever they where just before pressing the button?
Okay. Thank you for answering. I choose "Yes" then!A good question! The magical button reads your mind and gives you the disposal you desire.
Some people do care. I do not care about dying since I will not be alive to be upset about it, but I still care about my body being discovered, because I do not want others to know that I have died in the first place - hence the question about bodily disposal. It is better to prevent false people from being able to "virtue signal".Who cares, when you are dead, you are dead.
Yer I guess so but since the button does not and never will exist, this whole thread is one of fantasy.Okay. Thank you for answering. I choose "Yes" then!

Exactly thisIt seems like it would save me a lot of anguish. It's not just the physical pain of dying that will suck, it's all the hemming and hawing and thinking about people and consequences of ctb. If the button suddenly appeared, I could just press it as fast as possible so I wouldn't have to think things through and worry and feel guilty and all that.
