80s &90s music talked about this apocalypse that's happening but we didn't listen. Now, we're all doomed

(Thought I'd post it here too since it's probably a political/philosophical discussion.)
We have too many things wrong with our society and it's getting worse. We had warnings but no chance or choice of stopping it. This has now become so overwhelming that it's causing all the evils to take over: homelessness, starvation, SA, war, killing our pets, etc.
If you're poor to middle class they will drive us out of our homes and on the streets, suffer there or join the army. Lose all our stuff then lose our lives so the rich can make more millions.
No choice left.

80-90s music is a huge body of music spanning 20 years.
You can find any narrative you want within that.

If you want to accurately predict the future, music is not the thing to listen to. It's no better than holy books or self-proclaimed prophets.

Homelessness and war, does indeed seem to be on the rise.
Starvation is virtually eradicated in the West.
SA and lacking animal rights are not new, and while leaving much to be desired, the situations are improving in most places. Compare to the 50s.
