I would guess around 7-8 second fall and no pain/complete death upon impact. Is this correct?

Head first? I can't imagine any chance of survival, let alone feeling pain. But don't cite me on that. 800 feet doesnt get you to terminal velocity, but Im not sure if that's needed, as your brain would get crushed.

i would mostly be worried about SI causing me to change my orientation mid-fall and not hit my head first.

There's a movie called "the bridge" about jumpers. You might want to watch it. It just takes a look at suicide jumpers & they even talk to a survivor & what they felt.
It's a beautifully done movie about suicide.🌹💔

After watching that I wanted to go to golden gate and jump but they have prevention nets know
