how?? HOW??!! WHY IS THERE NO SUCH THING IN MY FUCKING COUNTRY?! Why the fuck is this world so fucked up?!
How do I envy her! I'm just incredibly jealous of her because she can die peacefully like that!!

Dear kind girl, who will soon leave this existence in a peaceful way, PLEASE LET YOUR SOUL HEAR ME, HEAR MY CRY FROM THIS PLANET AND LET YOUR SOUL TAKE ME AWAY FROM HERE AFTER DEATH, PLEASE!!

Meanwhile in litterary every psych ward outside of Netherlands:
Patient: "Give me some euthanasia dammit!"
Staff: "Nah man, it's illegal here."

...and that's what the pro-lifers calls a human right. -_-

Damn I'd pay for it in an instant if it were legalized for non-citizens. It's a win-win situation. Given the current state of the world they'd rake in a ton of money while also providing peace for their patients.

Wait wait wait, mental disorders are a highly murky area. Their biological nature is not proven. On the other hand, there may be the opposite issue - "anyone who doesn't think like I do has worms in the head and has to be lobotomised". I'm not even sure which one is worse.
There are decades of patient reports "proving" it. It's just more convenient for doctors, drug manufacturers, and regulators to ignore it than to research the mechanism. This gal got funneled into the psychiatric pill mill and came out a walking corpse like so many before her.

It took her 3 and 1/2 years to get approved and only 10% get approved for psychological reasons. (That's probably similar to the Swiss associations). But if you're determined, it can be achieved.

RIP. I respect her decision. A good governance comprises of both options, actual help and respecting choices. Sad that major part of the world has neither of them. I wish this changes for the good in future.

Can I buy a ticket for Netherlands?

More like a "human obligation to suffer", especially since mental health is under funded, expensive, or non-existent.

she had 10 years of documented treatment history however. the law in the Netherlands regarding euthanasia for severe mental illness is very stringent. it's not an easy process at all unlike what some people and media claim it is.

Unfortunately, it is only possible for people who are citizen of the country.
Yeah, I was for a vacation at that country. And I thought I had a better chance as an EU citizen. Also it made it difficult that I am not old (by old they meant over 50 years old)

If I am not a minor and over 20 years old, then this should be accepted. In every other sphere and aspect of life I am responsible for my life.

I'm Dutch.
My brother was very sick, schizophrenia, depression and social anxiety from a very young age.
His family supported him.
He got denied.

He died 5 years ago. Suicide by cop. It's not as easy as you all might think.
So sorry for your loss. May he sleep well in peace

Depression is a serious illness. Sometimes nothing helps to cure it
