Method 2 cylinders and 2 tubes instead of one?

I keep trying to find out more info on this but I can't find any. What if you use 2 cylinders instead of one, with 2 tubes going into the bad as insurance incase one fails? Will 2 tubes of 15 lpm be like the same thing, or does it like, double in power and cause barotrauma to your lungs? Idk why I've never seen this brought up

Also how tight should the bag even be..

Okay, so to answer your question:

Two tubes will increase the amount of N2 or helium (I don't know which you're planning on, so I'll just call it gas) into the bag. Two bottles at 15 lpm would make it 30 lpm. It's not like mixing hot water where they average.

You shouldn't be able to cause baurotrauma to your lungs because the hood shouldn't be that tight. You want it loose enough that air can freely move out of the hood. The CO2 and oxygen you breathe out are both heavier than gas, so they sink out the bottom. Then, your hood fills up with gas so every breathe you take is depriving your body of enough oxygen to keep going, but also keeping your CO2 low enough that you don't panic.

So tie the bag tight enough that it doesn't slip off your head, but not so tight that it leaves impressions in your neck.
