  • Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Just officially scheduled my first counseling appointment. I know it's dumb but it was hard for me to do and I'm proud of getting at least that much done (even though it took me 3 weeks to finish setting it up)

The first time I had tried to get counseling (last spring) there was tech issues and I ended up thinking it wasn't meant to be. I just know if I have to keep surviving each day I don't want it to be like this. My school is going to pay for about 10 sessions before I have to figure something out with my awful insurance. Hopefully it's helpful.

I just really really really want to be able to live differently.

Some counseling sessions are pretty straightforward about asking you direct questions such as what you see as the biggest problem or what your relationships are like. Others may simply wait for you to talk about whatever comes to mind.

Basically if people are pressing in on you, you can learn how to press back and set boundaries.
If people ignore you, you can learn how to engage and develop relationships.
If you keep making the same mistakes, you be be able to identify and change what causes it.
If you are dealing with anxieties, you can learn to increase your control so that anxieties take less of a toll.

It can really help the counselor if you can be specific about what you are dealing with.
