In 100 years from now we will all be dead so should we even worry?

That is correct, but staying alive means prolonged suffering. I'd rather not suffer any more than I already have and have to.

Worry about what?

As in- our lives aren't important in the long run- so, we shouldn't need to worry about anything enough to make us want to CTB? Or- those that would miss us if we CTB will also likely be dead by then too? So- it's all kind of inconsequential?

This is just more fuel to nihilism ("we're all gonna die anyways so who cares") , which we can interpret in anyway that fits our own desired narrative - either it means that we'll choose to ctb because nothing matters or we choose to live and die by other random causes (on terms we won't choose for ourselves) because nothing matters

Of course it's true that existence is something that is so temporary and meaningless, life does lead to nothing and nowhere other than us inevitably ceasing to exist where this existence won't even exist as a distant memory. So while there will be an end someday no matter what, it doesn't take away from the fact that this world is such a hellish place to exist in with unlimited potential for us to suffer.

I do see this temporary and insignificant existence as being something to worry about, as if I don't ctb this could go on for decades longer, and to me existence is something so horrific because everything is so unpredictable and uncertain, there is no relief from the fact that existence is something that is so incredibly harmful. I don't wish to end up in a situation of even worse suffering and for me the problem lies in the fact that there is no straightforward way to free ourselves from this burden that was so cruelly forced on us.
