its most likely very prominent among all the users here so i wanna know ur guys stories and how your bodies paint a picture of your life

me personally, i have them on my wrists, forearms, upper arms, shoulders, chest, neck, back
99% blades but 1% cigarette burns too

Just on the wrists, a few on the upper thighs. I usually only sh when I want to punish myself for something bad that happened, but I did it more often a few years ago. Stopped for a while because I learned I scar easy.

I have a lot along my forearm but I haven't self harmed in so long theyre just white splashes, switched from self harming to excersizing heavily instead when I was younger like around 17 I think? just because its about as much pain but it makes me happier and is actually healthy for me. I used to get comments on the scars before they healed more when I wasn't able to wear a hoodie now people barely notice them which is nice

Got some scars. Used to treat them like ornaments. Now I don't care. Wouldn't want people to see them or comment so I walk around covered.

Don't do it anymore either. Used to be kind of emotional ritual, but am too numb for a few years already.

my scars are mainly on my left wrist/forearm and upper/mid thigh because im right handed, they're all white now but my deepest one i still get phantom pains from cuz i damaged the nerve. i dont regret my scars or try to hide them or remove them, my mom talks about me maybe getting a tattoo to cover them up but i really couldnt care less about covering it at all i would just want a tattoo lol. she always told me since i was 12 i would basically regret it when i was older, as an adult and clean for over 3 years now i dont regret what i did to myself i just regret the situations it caused in my youth, i would still cut if i didnt have to worry about getting my physical health taken seriously and not overlooked by my mental struggles

i haven't cut in a while, i keep thinking about it, i have been cutting since 12, i prefer my arms but i have to resort to my legs sometimes. i have scars on my arms and thighs

the most visible self harm scars i have are on my wrists. each of my wrists has one scar thats big or white enough to be noticeable at first glance but if u look closer on the left wrist theres other faint scars. i think the scar on my right wrist is wider because i cut with my non dominant hand and had bad control. i have faint scars on my shoulders because i cut there too. i cut all of these when i was 11 so i didnt really think about how permanent they would be. i guess theyre "visible" but im never around people when im wearing anything revealing enough to show the scars on my thighs. the scars there are faint but i cant remember if i cut them when i was 11 or a few years ago when i relapsed. the one scar that i know is recent is the only noticeably white/wider one because i intentionally cut so it would turn out that way. i regret it now like the rest of my scars but oh well.

my other self harm scars that i dont think people perceive as self harm or at all are:
- a scar on my knee that ive had since childhood (it was from playing/by accident) that i recut over and made wider…
- a scar on my hand below my thumb thats so small and faint even i hardly notice its there
- a long scar on my leg thats too thin and faint now (i impulsively dug a shaving razor into my skin and just dragged it up my leg so its like 2 parallel lines lol)
- tiny scars on 2 toes because i felt like cutting but i didnt want more scars in noticeable places lol

no ive never wrote this in depth about my scars before.

I used to cut myself all the time and when i did i would only cut designs, like tattoos, except for the few times where i did names lol. But i always thought it didnt mean enough to just swipe swipe swipe so i did something i thought was cool. I dont regret them, and the scars have faded almost all the way except for the A initial on my arm of the most important guy i met in life, it was 2 years ago but its still visible because i made it deep on purpose

When I do SH its usually always in the same spot and I don't go too deep. I just mainly do it to feel something, and vecause I know if some people in my life knew I did it, they would 100% baker act me. It is however pretty noticeable at this point, but if the off chance people as me about it, I have some bullshit excuse I stick with. I also tried to stab myself near my heart once and have a tiny SH scar on there. Thankfully people don't see that one because I keep my shirt on . But every day I see my fishing knife on my dresser and I get tempted af to pick it up. Shit calls out to me like the green goblin mask tbh. My life has really gone down the shitter since finishing high school (which was 9 years ago now).

I have one longer cut on my wrist where I tried opening my veins... And failed (surprise!)
And some burns I made with a hot blade on my arms. They look like cuts due to the shape, though. Pretty visible too, but I don't give a fuck. No one cares anyway

I have so many of them on my arms that they stopped being noticeable and look more like ''texture'' than anything else. I dont even have to hide them.
Granted, my ocd made it uh... probably look like literally anything else than normal cuts since theyre all like, the same lenght/dept/etc, but still.

I used to cut my right arm but I had changed over to cutting my thighs. Funnily enough it's possible to see some on the arm but barely anything on the thighs.

Mostly on my shoulders. A few small ones on my wrists and arms but I think some of them are probably just regular scars they're so hard to notice. I also have one on my nose because I didn't like my nose as a teenager and decided to cut it for some reason.
