If so you should delete your entire browser profile, you can delete your history all you want, not everything will actually disappear from your history file.
Find out where your browser saves your browser profile, f.e. for Chromium that would be USERPROFILE\AppData\Local\Chromium and delete that.

For your phone it's best to uninstall your browser.

Yup (should i worry about that?)
I have no idea how mobile browsers work, the reason I said just uninstalling them is safe and easy, is cause apps live in their own "little space" and if you uninstall them you actually delete them entirely, unless they save things to your sdcard on purpose, such as images and downloads, the kind of things you want to see and keep.

Also in the end it really just depends on how nosy your relatives are.
It's more a matter for people who are concerned about this kind of thing / know their relatives will check their devices.

Oh I've seen that before but I never use it cause I'm scared I delete things I don't actually wanna delete
Just untick everything apart from the stuff you want deleted and you're good to go. The settings automatically remain the next time you run it.

I'm super anxious that there will still be something left, even though I was sure I deleted it all.
if you're that concerned you could make a fresh install of your OS on a different drive .. or just boot from an USB with linux and schedule a script that formats and or overwrites your drives.

Unfortunately none of these methods delete the data google collects about us and stores on their servers as opposed to on our devices. If anyone is curious as to everything google has on you there is a way of downloading it all (and deleting it, but they still hold onto the data for another 6 months after you request the deletion). They have photos I long deleted and don't even remember taking. I was scared by the sheer amount of data they have on me.

Paste the following into your browser: https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy?hl=en

If you scroll down there is a box titled: Download or delete your data

Click on download and follow instructions. Odds are it will take a while as they could have 50 - 200 GB of data, from map locations of where you went and when and how long you stayed, to photos, contacts, preferences, sites visited, downloads you made etc.. literally know more about us then we do.

It's a good dea to clean up your devices reguarly and thoroughly, even if you don't plan to ctb. That preserves your privacy against anyone who might access your device (e.g. if it ever gets stolen). Once a month I run a program called East Tec Eraser on my husband's laptop (which runs a Windows OS), and I have written my own script to do the same job on my Linux machine. In my opinion, everone ought to do something like that regularly. Most people dont take privacy seriously enough. Remember that deleting your browser history won't actually remove the information from your hard drive, and anyone with some IT skills can recover it. (I could, for example.) You need to securely over-write deleted data.

That sounds interesting, what exactly do you remove?
Tbh I'm not that worried about my data leaking from my devices, my computer is only at home, and phones encrypt their data partition.
It's true though that most people don't care enough about privacy, it's hard to blame them though cause in 9 / 10 cases it's not actually doing any harm to them and they're willing to take that chance.
As much bad luck as I have I'm definitely not willing to take any chances lol

I think it's way more important to carefully think about the data you give away on your own, f.e. if you really should connect all your accounts together, etc

Basically, you securaly erase all temporarily stored information (e.g. cached web pages), all log files, all temporary files, all thumbnails of images, everyting in your wastebesket, other files depending on what applications you are running. and a whole bunch of other more technical stuff. Then you overwrite all the empty space on each partition (e.g. with random data). Of course you retain those files that you want for your own long-term purposes, and you retain those files that any software you use requires to run, but basicaly you securely over-write everything else.

When I was paranoid, I used to carry around TailsOS on a USB stick. Don't do that anymore tho

well yea I wouldnt mind deleting those, but if I overwrite them that much that would wear the drives out faster

If you are using a hard drive there is no way you will wear it out. They are designed to take a lot of use. USB memory sticks are different, but even so you need to do a lot of writing to wear them out. (But you wouldn't use a USB partition as swap space. That could involve so much writing that you cold be heding for trouble.) Also USB sticks can be a pain to erase securely, because there is firmware between you and the hardware, and you usually don't know exactly which physical sectors of the drive correspond to your file. The only way to securely erase files on them may be to scrub the entire partition, or at least to delete the unwanted files and then fill the slack space on the partition with random data.)

well, pretty much all my drives are ssd's so this might be the same problem with usb drives.
I'd probably have to overwrite all free space a few times and that would probably kill it eventually.

The question was if you are going to do that, not why.

Some people have nosy families, or other people that could get access to their devices, and they don't want them finding out about this site and cousing trouble for other users.

Part of me doesnt want to so my family can have closure

But that would mean attracting attention to this site. It's given me some relief, would be unfair to get more heat on it (*cough* Tantacrul)

I understand that, but what will it matter when you're dead, gone, and turned to wormfood? You're not exactly going to get to feel embarrassment or indignation without a brain and a beating heart, you know.

it might matter for the people who are still around.
f.e. it might matter for SaSu if the wrong people link your death to here.
or it might matter to your friends or others if you have private things concerning them on your devices, etc etc

That's true, it would matter for the people who are still around. But you won't be there- cosmically speaking, so it's pointless to fret over it. But, well, if you want to, it's not too hard to delete your entire hard drive and search history.
