I heard that yesterday too.
People think getting out is easy.
I can barely get myself to the bathroom when I have to pee or brush my teeth.

It's just best to take no notice of people who say things like that. People certainly can be irritating, whatever they think shouldn't matter, they cannot view life in the same way as us.

Oh boy, I forgot how much I loathe that phrase. At least a lot of the other phrases people trot out to those struggling can be said with good intentions. I can't think of a a single way this would be used kindly.

Same, pushed myself to job interview and a few other things this week. But it was terrible and full of anxiety.

Individuals will always have their own reason to help another person, whether they went through the same thing, or they had someone else go through it, however some do not understand at all, everybody is different and it all depends on how we all grew up and matured. the ability to see things from multiple perspectives, some people give advice that is just outright wrong, too simple, or just not helpful, but the only thing you can do is just ignore it.

I would never hate someone else for trying to help me, even if its medical professionals.
Humans are complicated creatures, we get things wrong all the time, and sometimes we get things right.

I've had my experiences with people calling me an asshole because I was so calm when they were in distress, the best thing to do that I have found that worked for me is to just smile at them.

Don't push yourself to do things, especially if it affects your mental health negatively,

I understand the sentiment, but usually, the people saying this don't really care to understand you. Like, what's the point in throwing out such a hackneyed phrase? To create the illusion that they truly want to help while not needing to put in any effort? I'd much prefer someone offering to listen to my struggles than to just tell me I should "get out more."
