Xmas already ?

Here in the UK we are already being bombarded with advertisements for Xmas .
Anything to do with Xmas makes me feel even more suicidal.
I don't understand how anyone could enjoy buying shit they can't afford and giving it to people who probably won't appreciate it.
And then visit people who probably don't even like you and eat too much and drink too much and eventually end up arguing with each other .
I would rather eat my own shit than have to endure another xmas.
Does anyone else feel the same, or am I just a miserable bastard ?

I feel pretty much the same about xmas when it comes to advertisements and stuff like that, they started bombarding us with them like a month ago

(The Xmas stuff kicks off on the 1st September in the Philippines. You're in a mall and the music and trees come out and no I'm not saying happy whatever to anyone. They're nuts about it all but it's a different society).

No, you're just seeing it as it is. I like aspects of Xmas, but yeah, it's hyped up. Jesus was born in Easter anyway. I bought a turkey sandwich in the COOP earlier, yeah, October.

I agree with almost everything you have said. I thought that Christmas is/was supposed to be all about goodwill, but this is not true in the current climate. Any time that I (used) to go to stores near Christmas time there were always crowds of angry people shoving past each other, and fighting over junk that will be forgotten a week after it has been gifted. Then a new year comes around, and everything reverts back to rudeness and mistreatment as usual.

The only part I disagree with you is about the food, because I really like being greedy and eating all of the Christmas food. It is the only part of Christmas that I enjoy anymore, and I do not even celebrate it.

I liked Xmas and the "end of the year" for most of my life but since my life is fucked up and each year is nothing else but a further decline I hate it. It reminds of the fact that I had to endure another fucked up year that ends worse than the last one ended and the coming year won't be any better.

I don't enjoy festivals as well. The only thing I found enjoyable about festivals when I was a kid was that I got to have a break from school lol.
