following an argument with my mom over the phone, I no longer live inside the house (she is currently hospitalised). I only go inside to brush my teeth, use the toilets and charge my phone.

I basically spend all my day on the balconies, backyard and roof. I sleep during the day and stay awake at night because of fear.

This situation is made especially awkward by the fact that there are two maids, two guards and one personal driver who live and work at my house. They watch me suddenly lose all of my privileges and it's rather humiliating (btw I live in a third-world country where having a house staff is common for most people regardlessof social status).

I won't lie and say "it was choice" to stay outside. My mom didn't explicitly tell me to leave so it might look like it was my decision but it was not. I feel I was forced to do so and even thought she knows that I don't enter the house anymore, she didn't address it. There are now 10 empty bedrooms in my house.

I also only eat one meal a day now. At night, there's a lot of mosquitos so I'll probably die from malaria soon.

Technically yeah, even if you live with family inside and aren't paying rent then you're homeless as if you're evicted then you have no home. Why don't you just go back inside? You said it wasn't your choice although your mom didn't say you had to leave, so who's choice was it?

The only thing in the whole universe that would make me consider CTB is my health being bad, which unfurtunatelly is the case, but otherwise I'd manage it no matter how.

Is there any way to improve things with your mom- with ten empty bedrooms you wouuld hope you could find a solution, but who knows for sure.

It sounds as if your house is big enough where you could avoid your mother. Hell, I'd move back in - you're just spiting yourself. Pick a bedroom that has a lock on the door and spend most of your time there. Why should you suffer?

Idk how to label it. When I was younger, I used to prefer sleeping anywhere but home - beaches, forests, friends. I didn't consider myself homeless as it was my choice and I knew I could always come, nobody kicked me out. I felt homeless, I've had a house to go to, but it was opposite of home and filled with trauma. You saying how much bedrooms you have is kind of sad. Why do you feel like she forced you? Perhaps she is just letting you deal with your emotions?

Get back into the house! My god, I wish I had access to even one bedroom! I live with my mother too. One bedroom apartment. I sleep on the sofa. It's a maddening situation. Before I lost everything, I could barely tolerate more than a day with her.

don't worry, I eventually got back into the house because after 3 days she ended up lashing out and telling me to come back the hell inside.

Having been homeless for years on end. Havihg somewhere to charge your phone is a blessing and a lot of towns I've been in and cities I've been in closed off all the ports so you cant charge your phone. More places are starting to do this also. I'm confused if your mom didn't tell you to leave and how is it not your choice...

What country is it normal for most people to have this kind of staff? I've never heard of this . When you say most people do you mean most people in the upper crust of the local society ?

Or is it something like the maids work for the whole condominium

honestly there's always at the very least 2 maids and 1 guard and one driver (as well as a gardener ) in most houses I have been in, in my part of the world.

Tbh I don't go out much and have a vague idea of how the lower class functions here, I only ever go out to visit my relatives.

It's not for the condominium, it's just for my house.

In most third world countries, Arabic countries, African countries etc it's very normal. Culturally, we tend to spend our money on maids and guards rather then on other things. I think we have a different way of spending our money from westerners, that's all.

We don't use washing machines for example (for whatever reasons) or dishwashers... and we don't use home alarms or camera for thieves or guns...

In my house we have these things (home alarms, cameras, washing machines etc) but culturally we're just used to hiring people to do these things manually. I guess also for the mere comfort of more human presence (it's scary to live alone).

even poor people have it. at least one maid. I say that because I sometimes travel to my mother's hometown (village) and I see poor people there with maids.

I'm a social vegetable with no much contact with the outside world. I don't even speak the local language (only the official language).

so I could be a little disconnected. But I also know that the staff isn't paid much. my mom pays them the equivalent of $1200 ( all of them combined) each month. wages are really really low in poor countries, so people can afford that
