• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Not at this point.
But maybe, If i have had better luck, and moved from this country to another, I wouldn't be CTBing soon.
I definitely hate this country, I wish I have had moved a couple of years ago when I had the chance to do it (but good luck was not there).
I would probably have done it when a bit older anyways.

If I was allowed to move back to my home country, instead of being trapped in the UK, I probably would still want to CTB but I'd be a lot less likely.

No, I'm still the same, even after moving to another country.

I've lived in a few countries and the lingering depression never went. There were the acute bouts that came with the peaks and troughs of life. The novelty wore off each time and I returned mainly for wellbeing reasons. Navigating for a long period in a country where the language isn't your native language has its drawbacks.

I would like to have a final go at living abroad before I ctb, not to 'fix' things but to live a relaxing life away from the rat race for a little while.

I am seriously considering moving to Scotland, but so far I haven't found a way to do that. I haven't yet found a job that I am qualified for and that would give me a work visa. I think if I lived in Scotland I might not want to ctb, but I would probably die early due to lack of medical care. I might seriously die from the flu. I've caught some infection in Scotland two winters in a row now and now it looks like I'm getting permanent asthma from it, but I will probably still continue to go to Scotland in winter.

I moved from UK to Thailand for 4 years and was less suicidal but eventually the novelty wears off and the stress of living in a foreign country just adds to suicidality

It's the only thing that ever improved my mental health but wasn't permanent and now I'm more suicidal than ever.

No. I am done living no matter where I am.
Same but when I left I probably didn't get rid of the way they behave fully (mindset etc)and it undermines my job etc but I would have CTBed long ago if I didnt move. Now thinking about it again. I didnt think about CTBing much back then because I had a plan and it was working and now I feel stuck after I had left but still mich better to CTB here hehe.

Moving offers my anxieties something 'real' and 'legit' to latch onto. Fight mode for getting paperwork and everything sorted and settled, firstly understanding whats needed/how systems work and then setting myself up. Usually 'entertains' me for a few months at least. But, as many above have said, once settled its only so long before old issues return. Running is possible but hiding isn't.
