• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I feel like it would be easier for everyone in my life if they thought it was a spur of the moment decision.

I've never had an attempt before and as many hints as I drop, they're always taken as a joke so no one thinks I'm suicidal.

I thought about writing one to my partner (long distance), my parents, my sibling, and my friend. But maybe it would be easier to make them think it was just an in the moment decision?

What do you guys think?

They will always ache for an answer, a reason. They might even blame themselves forever, when they did nothing wrong, if they have no note or message left behind telling them what caused you to CTB.

if you genuinely love them and they love you, imo you definitely should. i personally won't cause my family will never understand and for the most part are garbage people.

I think you should leave a note for them. Not knowing why you took your life might drive them crazy. They deserve an explanation.

I had a girl that I was dating and really really liked. Our relationship was going very well but one day she randomly told me that she wasnt ready for a relationship and other random excuses. Not knowing why she felt that way really fucked me up mentally, I was at my lowest. Then I learnt that she had went back to her ex and those were complete lies. Well, I didnt really "learn" it, I saw them together. I felt the "getting stabbed in the heart" feeling that everyone talks about. It was really bad but at least I knew what had happened. Not knowing anything was worse. So if youre really sure about your decision (which you should really reconsider) you should leave a note.

I decided not to explain anything to others. No one ever listened to what I'm said. They will still build their own theories about what happened.

But it is not an advise. It's just only in my case...

I typed up a letter to leave for family but ultimately deleted it. I know it's naive but I'm hoping they might not believe it is suicide, but instead an accident. Leaving the letter would confirm it to them. They will be shocked if they do believe it. They will know it has nothing to do with them because I've not even hinted or joked about suicide. I'm doing because of physical health reasons, so no one will expect it.
