Would blowing myself up work?

Hi,
I like making things and I'm pretty sure I'm capable of sourcing all the components of dynamite, if I were to produce about a pound of it and duct tape it to the side of my head (see attached image), would it kill me? Would it completely blow my head off?How much would I roughly need to explode a head? Are there any other easy to make explosives I could use?

I'd be using the sulphur, potassium nitrate and charcoal method.

I originally wanted to just blow off other parts of my body but this seems like a good idea.

Obviously I would make a huge batch, test half to ensure it combusts how I want then attempt with the other half.

I imagine this would be instant like a shotgun. Maybe if I added some bits of metal about a cm or so to fragment and shrapnel myself?

All in all, make it after a recipe in small amounts and test it. (be sure to follow closely as black powder is weird.) If you're satisfied with the results make more of it and test a small amount. Then pack it tightly, put it next to something hard and put your head in between it and a hard surface (I guess a washing machine would work). Then question if it's really a good idea to make explosives which will cause painful injuries and are really illegal. It's not hard to make bombs, but it's easy for the gov to find out and imprison you for possession of dangerous chemicals, making an IED and probably theft or illicit trade. (possibly not if you live in the USA, but depends on state laws(a gun would be better then))

Idk about making explosives but I would say try to make sure you don't blow anyone else up or damage other's property if you want to do this. I would say do it somewhere isolated in nature but dynamite can cause fire I think so it might damage nature as well. Maybe a big feild or desert if you are close to those.

I live in a wet foresty area so fire is unlikely, the only chemical that would be hard to source you can get in garden stores, the rest are fine. I'd love to die for some cause like this but I'm not physically fit enough (not fat) to join the army or anything.

If I'm on a list that's about an equal alternative to dying for me, prison or something, or I'd just claim I have a gun so they shoot me , idk kinda rambling but I've thought about it before just to cut off some other parts, of course I wouldn't take anyone else, I don't think that would even be possible I'm unsure I'll even kill myself.

Jumping doesn't have the same guarantee. With dynamite in your neck you die 100% painlessly instantly

I know there is a silliness to the idea, but it does strike me as one of the most humane ways to go provided you could source the material properly manufacture the contraption.

I would however recommend against it, the last thing you want is to be locked in prison with violent lunatics. You'll get no sympathy from the state, that's for sure.

in a forest sounds good but what if someone sees you? would you be willing to take somebody down with you if they interfere? also it would probably be a good idea to carry your equipment in a bag
